The Espiritu Hotel is more than just a place to stay. It is a home away from home, where you can experience the warmth and hospitality of the Leung Family, who have been welcoming guests to Santo for more than a decade now. The Espiritu, formerly known as Apex Garden Hotel, was founded by Mr.Valiant Leung a prominent businessman in Luganville whose family arrived in Santo since before independence. The family has since played a major role inthe development of Luganville town which now provide hundreds of locals with full time employment. Today, the hotel is run by Rayman and Simon, who have inherited their father's passion for hospitality and service. They graduated from University both with degrees in Business Management specializing in International and Hospitality Management. In 2012, the brothers began a lengthy process to rebrand and reinvent itself. They started with the name and image; the brothers left no stone unturned. Amongst all the hustle and bustle of Luganville town, the boys were able to create a tranquil oasis for its guests and visitors. They are supported by a wonderful team of staff, who are likefamily to them, and who will make you feel like one too.
The Espiritu now boasts refurbished rooms with modern amenities, a clean outdoor swimming pool, and a cozy outdoor sitting and dining area. The hotel is conveniently located near the airport, the market, and the main street of Luganville. The Tu Restaurant, Café and Bar is a food and beverage service that is managed by The Espiritu. In 2015, the full refurbishment of the commercial kitchen was completed and The Tu Restaurant, Café and Bar was officially opened to start serving both in-house and walk-in customers. With seating capacity to cater for over 160 pax whether it is a private function,wedding banquet or birthday party, The Tu has quickly become the venue of choice to host any event. Note re Vanuatu Tourism Levy
In order to assist the development of tourism in Vanuatu, there is a Tourism Levy of 0.05% added to all nightly room charges.  This charge may either be added to the tariff and included in the prepaid accommodation cost, or in some cases, collected direct from guests at checkout.  The actual amount payable depends on room tariffs and ranges from around NZ$1.00 per night per room to around $5.00 per night per room for the more expensive properties.


Your Accommodation Options
The Espiritu Hotel has three types of room, all very spacious and immaculately presented. There are 13 well-appointed guest rooms to choose including Standard, Deluxe Balcony and Deluxe Family. Each room includes air-conditioning, a bar fridge and free wifi internet. During your stay you can enjoy the resort’s facilities which include an in-house café and restaurant, swimming pool and pool bar and lounge.

Room Categories (In descending order of tariff)

Standard Rooms:
The spacious standard rooms located on the second floor to suit the business traveler or short stay guest. These rooms are equipped with double beds (twin configuration on request), a comfy 2 seater couch and a 40'' LED TV.  A desk is provided which is the perfect spot for catching up on emails or posting your latest holiday pics online.
Maximum Occupancy: 2 Adults
Existing Bedding: 1 Double Bed or 2 Single Beds
Additional Bedding: No additional bedding accommodated.

Deluxe Balcony Rooms:
The deluxe balcony rooms are spacious and well-appointed rooms located on the third level,with private balconies overlooking town and the Aore Segond channel. Relax outside with abottle of wine and watch the world go by! These rooms are designed to provide you with a comfortable and relaxing stay while you’re away from home. Rooms are equipped with a 40″ LED TV and are available in king bed or twin bed configuration.
Maximum Occupancy: 2 Adults
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed or 2 Single Beds
Additional Bedding: No additional bedding accommodated.

Deluxe Family Rooms:
The spacious family rooms, also located on thethird level, have an entry to their own private balconies overlooking the hillside and a comfortable lounge area equipped with a 40″LED TV. These rooms are designed to provide youand your family with a comfortable and relaxing stay while you’re away from home. Caters for 2 adults and 2 children (ages 4-12) with a bedding configuration of 1 king bed and 2 single beds.
Maximum Occupancy: 4 Adults or 2 Adults and 2 Children
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed or 2 Single Beds or 4 Single Beds
Additional Bedding: No additional bedding accommodated.

Getting to and from The Espiritu Hotel
Santo is normally accessed from New Zealand by international flight from Auckland to Port Vila on Efate Island, then a domestic flight between Port Vila and Santo’s airport.  Espiritu Santo is a 45 minute domestic flight from the capital of Port-Vila with frequent flights running 3 times a day. There is a direct flight once a week between Brisbane and Santo, so a combination Queensland/Santo holiday is an interesting option. 

We will include airport transfers in package arrangements for your The Espiritu holiday as required/agreed. The Espiritu Hotel is 15 mins drive from the Airport and located in the heart of the main street of Luganville. The local market, handicraft stores, grocery stores, dive operators and the Santo Information Centre are all within walking distance. Getting around Santo can be quite a lot of fun if you are prepared for the “unstructured” transport system which involved hitching a ride on a passing ute and paying a small fee. Access to Santo’s many attractions is normally organised via a local tour with a guide.  However, for those wishing to travel independently rental cars can be arranged from the resort.

Note re Vanuatu Domestic Air Travel Tax
Domestic flights between Port Vila, Santo and Tanna, as well as all other islands in Vanuatu attract a domestic tax of VT200 (approximately NZ$3.00) per person per sector.  Unfortunately, this tax cannot be prepaid, so is payable direct by travellers at domestic airports in Vanuatu.

Children from 4-12 years old stay free on existing beddings but must be accompanied by an adult.
Conditions:
 - Children are guests aged up to 12 years inclusive.

Check-in and check-out times are fairly relaxed.  However, the official check-in and check-out times are:
Check-in: 2:00pm
Check-out: 10:00am
