Our Thoughts on Legends Resort Moorea
A good option for those considering a high standard Moorea Resort with self-catering facilities.  Legends Resort Moorea offers private self-contained villas which have separate bedrooms, lounge, kitchen/dining. The extensive private decks come complete with sun loungers, private spa pool and a gazebo which houses a shaded table and chairs

Located 25kms from Moorea Airport and 28kms from the Tahiti Ferry Terminal, Legends Resort delivers something entirely different in Moorea holiday accommodation. Because it is built on a hillside, every one of the 47 villas has a spectacular view; either of a luxuriant tropical mountain valley or one out over the InterContinental Moorea Resort below to the motus in the lagoon and the reef and the Pacific Ocean beyond. At Legends you don’t have the lagoon waters lapping at your door, but this is made up for by the wonderful views and the option of complimentary use of the resort’s private beach which is reached by regular resort boat transfers provided at no extra charge.

The horizon swimming pool is very special. The pool is an integral part of the resort’s central facility which also houses the intimate dining areas and Reception and its hillside location means swimmers really feel the sensation of being suspended above the lagoon and ocean below.

As the resort is located on a hill, it can be a little challenging for less mobile guests to move around the resort or to walk from some parts of the resort to the main gate to visit the convenience store located close by.  Legends provide a motorised golf-style cart shuttle that is available any time it is required.  It works really well and the staff are always happy to provide the service.

However, irrespective of the many excellent resort facilities and services, which include a spa and massage as well as a 24 hour exercise room with fitness equipment and the great staff, the star attraction must be the spacious villa accommodation.

Your Room Options
There are three grades of accommodation at Legends Moorea – Villa Iti, Villa Nui and Rapa Nui Suite.  Within each category of villa, there is a choice of outlook and location on the hill. Guests staying in Tropical View Villas enjoy a view over a luxuriant tropical valley, Ocean View Villas have a partial valley view and partial ocean view and guests in Premium Ocean View Villas enjoy an unobstructed view over the lagoon to the ocean beyond. The wonderful Rapa Nui Suite has a premium ocean view.

Each villa has a full-sized kitchen which is fully stocked with pots and pans, crockery and cutlery etc.  There are two air-conditioned bedrooms, separate living area, laundry facilities and a beautiful bathroom.  On the deck you will find 2 sun loungers and a shady gazebo containing a table and chairs. A private Jacuzzi pool is set into the deck. The living area is not air-conditioned but has wide opening doors which allows the cooling sea and mountain breezes to flow through.  Even when these doors are closed there is a unique Polynesian House-style opening between the top of the walls and the roof that still allows the cooling air to circulate.

 Villa Iti
These 2 bedroom/1 bathroom villas are 120 square metres in size including wrap-around deck which makes them the size of a small house!  A cot can be added for a baby at additional cost.
Maximum Occupancy: 4 Persons
Bedding Configuration: 2 Queens

 Villa Nui
Villa Nui accommodation has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.  These 180 square metre, (including decks) monsters provide extra space for 2 couples or an extended family group. A cot can be added for a baby at additional cost.
Maximum Occupancy: 6 Persons
Bedding Configuration: 1 King & 2 Queens

 Rapa Nui Suite
With three bedrooms and 2 bathrooms the Rapa Nui Suite is a massive 200 square metres in size.  It differs from the Villa Nui in that the master bedroom is separate from the other bedrooms and the living area on the other side of the deck.  The master bedroom contains a bathtub.

Bedding Configuration: 1 King & 2 Queens

Getting to and From Legends Moorea
On our package arrangements there is a choice of either flying the very short distance to Moorea or we will arrange a transfer from your Papeete accommodation to the Ferry Terminal to take the fast ferry to Moorea.  We will provide a transfer on Moorea between the Moorea Airport or ferry terminal and your Moorea accommodation.

Kids Policy
Children aged 2-14 years stay free utilizing existing bedding and also receive 50% discount on meals taken at the resort

Check-In/Check Out
The hotel will make every effort to ensure your rooms are available at time of check-in; however, the Hotel standard times and rates are as follows:
Check In Time: 2.00pm
Check Out Time: 11.00am

Cancellation Policy:
 All cancellations must be made in writing.
 If cancellations are effected within 7 days of scheduled arrival, a cancellation fee equal to one night’s accommodation will be levied.
 If cancellations are effected within 3 days of scheduled arrival, a cancellation fee equal to two night’s accommodation will be levied.
 No Shows will be charge 100% of total accommodation stay.
