Our thoughts on Conrad Bora Bora Nui, Motu To'opua, Bora Bora, French Polynesia
This is a complete Resort in every way. From the wonderful location, the wide range of accommodation types, the beautiful beach, the multi-tiered horizon swimming pool, the fantastic views from the hill-top spa and the choice of restaurants to the friendly and helpful staff, it’s a great spot for every type of holiday imaginable.
Motu To’opua, on which Conrad Bora Bora Nui is located, is a little different from the other islands which comprise Bora Bora’s lagoon. Like the flat, reef-fringing islands it is around 5 minutes by boat away from the main island, but it is not an island of the reef; it is a gently hilly island in the lagoon and as such is completely surrounded by the lagoon which teams with fish in this location. From the resort, you look out over the dark blue water of the lagoon to shallower, lighter coloured waters leading up to the reef itself in the distance. Mt Otemanu and the craggy main island can be seen from some of the Overwater Bungalows, but to experience the full majestic view of the mainland just wander up (or take the electric cart shuttle) to the lookout by the spa, from there the view of the mainland’s mountains is spectacular. Another great way to enjoy the view of The Conrad with Mt Otemanu behind is from their Hobie Cat lagoon sail (you need to book at the resort).
We think you’ll be impressed with the whole arrival procedure right from the airport transfer through the lagoon to Conrad Bora Bora Nui to the Reception itself at the Resort. Reception at Conrad Bora Bora Nui is on the arrival pier and while you are checking in, you immediately get a feel for the experiences that await you as you look through the glass floor at the marine life in the lagoon below.
In Bora Bora terms, this is a big resort with a huge range of services. However, if you decide to visit the mainland the resort runs a shuttle boat (charged) into Vaitape which operates at least hourly. The shuttle also operates in the evening although there is a higher charge for the evening shuttle boat.
Our tariff at Conrad Bora Bora Nui includes daily Full American Breakfast for all guests when taken in the resort restaurant.

Your Accommodation Options
All accommodation is individually air-conditioned. Accommodation options start with a two-storey block of 16 Lagoon View Suites located right in the centre of the resort. Lagoon View Suites face outward over a beautiful lawn, the beach and a row of Overwater bungalows, with the lagoon beyond. To the left, as you face the lagoon, are the restaurants, pool, boutiques and the Reception Pier and further on you find the individual Tropical Villas with Beach View on the flat and the Infinity Villas on the rise leading up to the Spa. Tropical Villas with Beach View are very close to the beach and have filtered views through to the beach. Infinity Villas are the same size and design and have spectacular views out to the lagoon. There is also a smattering of Tropical Villas with Beach View and Tropical Pool Villa with Endless Lagoon View to the right of the Lagoon View Suites block.
The Overwater Villas, which are located in three different groups out on the lagoon, come in 5 categories depending on their size and their outlook. There are 38 Overwater Villas, 32 Deluxe Overwater Villas, 16 new Overwater Pool Villas, 2 Royal Overwater Villas and 2 Presidential Overwater Villas.
The Overwater Villas and the Deluxe Overwater villas are the same size and design, the difference between them is only in their location and outlook. As distinct from the Deluxe grade overwater accommodation, Overwater Villas tend to be closer to the land and have either inward facing decks or slightly less extensive views, while the Deluxe Overwater Villas are normally further out on the lagoon and have wider views right out to the reef. Overwater Pool Villas feature a private plunge pool on the deck and a hammock-style boat net also built into the deck. Royal Pool Overwater Villas are bigger and are located at the ends of the left-hand pier; the massive Presidential Overwater Villas are right at the end of the right-hand pier from which guests enjoy unencumbered views out to the reef.
