Named after actor Marlon Brando, who fell in love with Tetiaroa while filming Mutiny on the Bounty and later acquired the atoll in 1967, The Brando remains a treasured retreat for the Brando family, who continue to visit and contribute to its preservation.

Tetiaroa Atoll is a breathtaking destination. Located north of Tahiti and Moorea, it is a 20-minute flight by light aircraft, standing in serene isolation in the vast Pacific Ocean. Like all atolls, Tetiaroa was formed from a long-extinct underwater volcano, with its 12 motus (islands) encircling a stunning lagoon. Each motu is a pristine natural paradise, rich with coconut palms, pandanus, and rare tropical flora. One motu serves as a sanctuary for a variety of bird species, while others provide nesting grounds for sea turtles. The vibrant lagoon teems with tropical fish, and during migration season, whales grace the surrounding waters.

Onetahi Motu, home to both The Brando resort and Tetiaroa Airport, is one of these extraordinary islands. Its beaches and bays are immaculate, and its interior remains largely untouched, offering scenic trails ideal for walking and cycling. Dining & Bars at The Brando

Beachcomber Café offers all-day waterside dining with breathtaking views of the lagoon. Whether you choose to dine indoors or right on the beach, you’ll enjoy a menu that beautifully blends Polynesian-inspired flavors with classic French cuisine.

Nami is an intimate teppanyaki restaurant with just eight seats, providing a front-row view of our chef’s culinary artistry. The menu highlights bold Asian flavors, featuring the freshest island seafood and organic vegetables from our gardens. We offer two dinner seatings each night, ensuring an exclusive and immersive dining experience.

Les Mutinés exudes elegance, with décor inspired by tropical light and sand, while a surrounding moat creates the sensation of floating on a lagoon. At its heart lies a world-class wine cellar, housed in a meticulously climate-controlled glass enclosure. The menu reflects the same dedication to flavor and quality that has earned Le Grand Véfour its reputation as one of Paris' most esteemed dining establishments.

Te Manu Bar, perched on the second floor, offers spectacular open-air views of the lagoon, distant motus, and unforgettable sunsets. In addition to the main lounge, private treetop seating areas are connected by walkways through the palm canopy, providing an intimate escape.

Bob’s Bar is a relaxed beachfront retreat for lunch or tropical cocktails, perfect for casual conversations and making new friends. Named in honor of Marlon Brando’s trusted factotum on film sets, the bar pays tribute to the many who have worked, and continue to work, behind the scenes to bring Brando’s vision to life.

In-Villa Dining: You can enjoy a meal whenever you want, 24 hours a day, at your villa—either indoors, on your private deck alongside your pool, or on the -beach in front of your villa. Special events can also be arranged in-villa or on your private beach for a special occasion or romantic evening under the stars. Evenings can include local entertainment, music, dance or a family movie night to bring everyone together.

When The Brando opened in 2014, the resort offered only a “Fully-Inclusive” tariff, this still exists, but due to popular demand since, a Villa and Breakfast-Only” rate option is also available now for guests that prefer an a la carte stay at The Brando..

Private villas are located along the coasts of the motu Onetahi, set back from beach amid the atoll’s lush vegetation for maximum privacy. Guests can dine in one of two restaurants on the atoll, indulge themselves at the Bird’s Nest Spa located over a freshwater lagoon, and discover the motu’s thriving landscape, including the organic vegetable garden and fruit orchard.

The island’s electricity requirements are met by a combination of solar panels (35%) and coconut oil-fueled generators (20%), while the sea water air conditioning system (45%) will use deep sea water pumped from 950 meters (nearly 3,000 feet) below the surface to cool rooms efficiently and economically."

Your Accommodation Options
The Brando Resort is located on the southwestern point of Onetahi Motu, with Bob’s Bar perfectly positioned at the tip. The villas are thoughtfully spaced along pristine, natural beaches on either side. The South Villas overlook the serene waters of Mermaid Bay, while the West Villas, renowned for their breathtaking sunsets, offer views over Sunset Beach or northwest toward Turtle Beach. We also offer two (2) ADA equipped villas conveniently located near the resort’s restaurants and activity center.

The resort features 35 beachfront villas and 1 Teremoana Residence, all designed to highlight the ease of indoor/outdoor beach living. The collection includes 26 one-bedroom pool villas, 4 one-bedroom family-friendly pool villas, 4 two-bedroom pool villas, 1 three-bedroom pool villa and 1 immensely private four-bedroom residence. Each villa boasts locally-sourced timbers & plank flooring, soaring cathedral ceilings with natural thatched roofing, and a sophisticated décor palette in white, beige, and earth tones. Modern comforts include sea-water air conditioning, high-speed Wi-Fi, expansive decking with outdoor dining table, a private pool, large white sand beach with direct lagoon access.

Minimum Stay Requirements

• Year-round: A minimum stay of two consecutive nights is required.
• Festive Season (December 20, 2025 – January 5, 2026): A four-night minimum stay applies.

 1 Bedroom Pool Villas:
At 96m², the 1-Bedroom Villas provide ample space for a couple or families with young children. Designed with a slight elevated layout, the bedroom and walk-through dressing room are elevated three steps above the lounge and media room, offering direct access to a 10m² private plunge pool, sundeck with outdoor shower, and outdoor covered dining table with seating for 4 guests. From the bedroom, guests can enjoy a private, picturesque view through the Pandanus and Coconut Palms to the beach and lagoon beyond as well as Bluetooth speakers for music and a retractable television. The luxurious bathroom features a spacious vanity, a rain shower, and a standalone outdoor bathtub set behind a wooden privacy screen. The living room is furnished with plush chairs and sofa, while the adjacent media room features a hidden trundle sofa bed and allows guests to enjoy music, movies, and high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity.

The Brando does offer two (2) ADA 1-Bedroom Pool Villa accommodations that do not have the stepped elevation between the living room & bedroom and are also equipped with an ADA accessible bathroom, bathtub and exterior ramp from the sundeck to the villa’s private beach. These ADA villas are conveniently found adjacent to the resort’s restaurants and activity center.

At 96m², the 1-Bedroom Villas provide ample space for a couple or families with children. Designed with a split-level layout, the bedroom and walk-through dressing room are elevated three steps above the lounge and media room, offering direct access to a 10m² private plunge pool, sundeck with outdoor shower, and outdoor covered dining table with seating for 4 guests. The 2-Bedroom Villas span 168m² in a bi-level design with garden views from the lower-level bedroom and sea and sunset views from the 2^nd level bedroom. A larger living room with views of the beach and lagoon offers direct access to a large sundeck with outdoor shower and private plunge pool.

 The 3 Bedroom Pool Villa:
A truly exceptional retreat, the 3-Bedroom Villa spans 246m² and boasts a 23m² private plunge pool. Ideal for larger families or groups of friends, this villa offers all the features of the 2-Bedroom Villa, but on a grander scale.

Teremoana 4-Bedroom Residence:
A truly exceptional retreat, the Teremoana Residence spans 558m² of total indoor & outdoor living space with 279m² of indoor air-conditioned living. With two complete indoor and outdoor kitchens, ocean view sundeck with 8 sun loungers, two outdoor showers, and a 23m² private pool, the Residence is perfect for larger families, groups of friends and those that cherish their privacy.

Getting To and From The Brando
Access to Tetiaroa is exclusively via private aircraft operated twice daily by Air Tetiaroa, the sole provider of passenger service to the island. Air Tetiaroa operates two eight-passenger Britten-Norman aircraft, with daily scheduled departures from a private terminal at Faa’a International Airport in Tahiti. Private charters can also be arranged for added flexibility.

Upon arrival at Faa’a International Airport—whether on an international or domestic flight—guests are seamlessly transferred (5-min by air-conditioned transportation) to Air Tetiaroa’s private terminal for the scenic 20-minute flight to Tetiaroa Airport, located on Onetahi Motu, which it shares with The Brando.

Kids’ Policy
Children are welcome at The Brando all year long. Given the menu and dining pace at Les Mutines, we do recommend the fine-dining restaurant is reserved for children 12 years and older with an accompanying adult.

Children in 1 Bedroom Pool Villas:
Up to 2 children under 12 years of age staying with up to 2 adults and sharing the fold-out trundle bed in the villa’s Media Room stay free of charge.

Children in 1 Bedroom Family Pool Villas:
Up to 2 Children up to 17 years of age inclusive, staying with up to 2 adults and dine at a minimal additional add-on cost.

Children in 2, 3 & 4 Bedroom Pool Villas:
The larger villas have a flat-rate tariff for up to 4 or 8 persons respectively irrespective of whether guests are adults or adults and children sharing the villa.

 Kids Lagoon School
The Brando offers a unique “Lagoon School” which is open daily on request from 8:30am to 4:30pm especially for young people aged 6 to 12 years.

“Programs are devised to educate children using various fun pedagogic activities and board games.  They will also participate in lectures, visits, treasure hunts and discoveries in the field.  Our goal is to educate the future generations to become eco-citizens. All of that including various information on the atoll of Tetiaroa with many fun surprises”.

Babysitting is easily arranged at a nominal hourly rate, as needed by guests..

 Kids Meals:
As with adults, kids’ meals are included in the nightly tariff on the "Fully Inclusive" Rate.  While there is no specific kids menu offered The Brando staff will go out of their way to satisfy children dining needs.

Transit and overnight packages are available at a special rate at the InterContinental Resort Tahiti for Brando guests. We highly recommend that guests contemplating same-day connections between Tahiti and Tetiaroa make use of an overnight stay in Tahiti.
