OUR Thoughts on Governor’s Lodge Queen Elizabeth Avenue
A welcoming serene retreat of 55 individual one-bedroom cabins, set among 12 acres of landscaped subtropical gardens dotted with majestic Norfolk pine trees, hibiscus and native shrubs.
Centrally located, Governor’s Lodge Resort Hotel is within easy walk of the Island’s shopping strip, and a short drive from historic Kingston and idyllic Emily Bay. The resort is the perfect base for a memorable Norfolk Island holiday. There is a Guest Laundry and communal BBQ area located near the sparkling pool & heated spa, meaning you can pack light and add to the feeling of ease that is a renowned part of a holiday here. They offer delicious options throughout the day, from breakfast, lunch and dinner through to snacks, all showcasing the sensational local produce where available. At the Boatshed, dining is a suitably relaxed affair as you kick off your day with a café style menu under the sails of the marquee. Breakfast & lunch is served daily and this is also a popular venue for functions. The Lounge Bar & Café, located directly behind reception, offers a wide range of casual dine-in or take-away options. Enjoy a freshly ground barista style coffee, grab a quick bite or enjoy a chilled wine or beer. By night, situated in the heart of the resort, Bailey’s Restaurant offers a charming homestead atmosphere while delivering quality modern cuisine from an a la carte menu. Bailey’s is a classy dining destination yet offering the same welcoming warmth and laidback hospitality that you enjoy throughout this resort. Reservations are highly recommended and can be made with the friendly team at reception.

Your Accommodation Options.
The 55 stand-alone 1-bedroom cabins are all located in a pleasant garden and lawn setting with all the ambience of a delightful tropical/colonial village. The little private, village-style streets meander through the gardens and the individual unit buildings all face outward towards these “streets”.  All accommodation is airy and modern and comprises a separate living room, complete with kitchenette, a separate bedroom and a veranda. Ceiling fans provide cooling and there is a TV in both bedroom and living rooms. Units are serviced once a week.

One Bedroom Cabin with Balcony (formerly Executive Unit)
The 50 one bedroom cabins with balcony, and these cabins are a home away from home. Surrounded by lush gardens and with a private verandah.
Maximum Occupancy: 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child aged under 12 years.
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed or 2 Single Beds.  
Additional Bedding: A third person can be accommodated in the lounge area.  A child aged under 12 years will be accommodated on a fold-down sofa bed, a third adult will be accommodated on a rollaway single bed.

Deluxe One Bedroom Cabin with Balcony (formerly Deluxe Unit)
The four deluxe cabins provide all of the same features with the addition of a 2nd TV in the bedroom, double spa bath and the best views on the property from a slightly larger verandah.
Maximum Occupancy: 3 guests.
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed or 2 Single Beds.  
Additional Bedding: A third person can be accommodated in the lounge area.  A child aged under 12 years will be accommodated on a fold-down sofa bed, a third adult will be accommodated on a rollaway single bed.

Accessible One Bedroom Cabin with Balcony (formerly Disability Unit)
Governor’s Lodge offers 1 cabin which is fully equipped for wheelchair access. The accessible cabin is similar to the one bedroom cabin but in a more accessible format. It has a king split bed, separate lounge, and kitchenette, has easy ramp access, an open-plan wheelchair-friendly bathroom and dedicated parking. The accessible cabin should be specifically requested at the time of booking accommodation.

Getting To and From Governor’s Lodge Resort Hotel.
Arrival and departure airport transfers will be included in package arrangements as required/agreed.  Options for airport transfers include seat-in-vehicle (shared) and private car transfers.
