OUR Thoughts on Ramada Hotel & Suites Noumea, 7 Rue Louis Blériot, Anse Vata
Ramada Hotel & Suites Noumea is a very good 4 star property with a great range of facilities and accommodation options. The hotel and the similar-sized residential tower beside it, dominates the Anse Vate skyline with its 17 level tower which houses Noumea’s only revolving restaurant, the recently renovated and renamed “Entrecote au 360” on the 17th floor. The restaurant gently revolves, so, as the name infers, that’s exactly what diners get – a beautifully cooked rib-eye steak while the restaurant revolves 360 degrees providing views of the bays, the islands and beaches, the racecourse, the mountains, the village and the other resorts. As the hotel puts it: “The concept of the restaurant is unique: rib-eye steak served with a delicious secret sauce which is what makes the difference with any other steakhouse you will find. The rib-eye steak is served with a salad and French fries that you can re-order as much as you want. Different options: for the light appetites, it starts at 200g of meet and the biggest appetites can order 1k of meat. Alternative option: half-cooked tuna served with Japanese sauce, salad and French fries”
In addition to the revolving restaurant where lunch and dinner is served every day, the resort also offers the all-new Rendez-Vous Sports Bar. After its complete upgrade, which includes high wood tables & a bar which stretches between both the inside and outside deck area, the Rendez-Vous Sports Bar now has a brand new menu designed for those who are after typical pub fare including dishes such as chicken parmigiana, ribs and chicken wings. Beer lovers will also be delighted with the selection of local and international beers available.
There is an excellent gymnasium for guests as well as an excellent range of conference and meeting facilities.
The property is handy to the beach. The walk over to the beach will take between 5 and 10 minutes depending on the time spent on the many interesting distractions along the way. The resort has a very pleasant pool complex of its own which actually has a white sand beach surround – it’s a terrific place to relax and enjoy the beach vibe without having to leave the resort grounds.
Upgraded wifi is available throughout the resort – the first 250mb use per day is provided free of charge and for bigger users a daily, weekly and monthly charge plan for up to 10 gigs of use is available at additional cost.
Note Regarding “Resort Fees”
In recent times, some hotels/resorts, have introduced what is known as “Resort Fees”. Resort Fees are a compulsory additional charge per day and are not included in the accommodation tariff but payable direct by the guest on check-in at the hotel/resort.
Ramada Hotel & Suites, Noumea charges a Resort Fee of XPF250 per room per night (approximately NZ $3.50) this covers the cost of car parking, use of the laundry, the swimming pool, the billiard table, the fitness gym, Aqua Zumba and the resort library. The Resort Fee also includes a newspaper.
Note Regarding “Eco Fee”
“Ramada Hotel & Suites belongs to Wyndham Hotel group and shares its eco-friendly values. An environmental fee of XPF 90 (approximately NZD1.25) per night is asked to support the energy and water savings, waste recycling as well as air quality improvements involved within the program.
This tax is asked to the client at check-out time. This fee is applicable to any client.”

Your Accommodation Options
Ramada Hotel & Suites Noumea comprises an oval-shaped tower rising out of a 4 storeyed main building which links the hotel with the adjacent residential tower. The main building houses the Studio Rooms on levels 1 to 4 while the Superior Suites plus the One and Two Bedroom Apartments are found in the tower as well as on the top floor of the main building.
The main building faces towards the north-east (away from Anse Vate Bay) towards Noumea’s beautiful Horseracing Track which features a green racetrack around an extensive lake in the centre (Lac De L’Hippodrome) it offers a beautiful outlook from many of the resort rooms.
The tower being oval in shape and high-rise provides a range of views of the racetrack only, the racetrack and St Marie Bay, the racetrack and the Anse Vate Lagoon or the Lagoon only.
All the accommodation we offer is air-conditioned and includes a fully-equipped kitchenette with a fridge, cook top, sink, tea/coffee facility and a microwave oven. There is lift access to all floors.
Ramada Hotel & Suites has a minimum 2 nights stay policy for stays 24 to 31 December.
Accessibility:
The hotel has a limited number of rooms in the Studio category which are equipped with wider doors and entry way, raised toilet and retractable armrests, showers with seats and retractable armrests.
The hotel advises:
“Public areas, restaurants (including “L’entrecote au 360”), bar and swimming pool are easily accessible by wheel chair. All floors are accessible via elevators.
Room Categories
Studios:
The 52 Studios are all located in the main building on floors 1-4. Being Studio in style means that there is one open-plan space containing the bed and the lounge area. Studios are 35m2 in area and each has a 10m2 balcony. All Studios overlook the racecourse.
Studios have a fully equipped kitchen.
Maximum Occupancy: 2 Adults or 2 Adults and 1 Child aged under 12 years
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed or 2 Single Beds
Additional Bedding: 1 Single Bed can be added
Superior Junior Suites:
The 13 Superior Junior Suites are located in both the main building and the tower and range over floors 4 to 17. The sleeping area may be partially screened off from the lounge by 3 sliding screens. Each Superior Junior Suite has a full kitchen. Bathrooms feature a hydro massage shower. This accommodation is 38m2 in area and each has a small 4m2 balcony overlooking the racecourse and/or Sainte Marie Bay.

One Bedroom Apartments:
The 26 One Bedroom Apartments are located on floors 4 to 17. Each has an ocean view over Anse Vate Bay. One Bedroom Apartments are a very roomy 54m2 in area with a nice big 22m2 balcony. They feature a separate bedroom and separate living area/kitchen. Each One Bedroom Apartment includes a clothes washer & dryer and a fully equipped kitchen. One bathroom with a combo bath/shower and a separate toilet.
Maximum Occupancy: 4 Adults or 2 Adults and 2 Children aged under 12 years
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed and 1 Double Bed size fold-out Sofa Bed
Additional Bedding: No additional bedding accommodated.
Two Bedroom Apartments:
Two Bedroom Apartments are located on floors 4 through 17. The bedrooms generally face the racecourse while the living area provides an ocean view over Anse Vate Bay. Two Bedroom Apartments are large at 83m2 in area with 2 small and one large balcony – a total of 24m2 of balcony space. They feature 2 separate bedrooms and separate kitchen and a very spacious lounge. The Two Bedroom Apartments also include an office area and come equipped with a clothes washer & dryer and a fully equipped kitchen. One bathroom with a combo bath/shower and a separate toilet.
Maximum Occupancy: 4 Adults or 4 Adults and 2 Children aged under 12 years.
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed in one bedroom and 2 Single Beds in the second bedroom as well as 1 Double Bed size fold-out Sofa Bed in the lounge.
Additional Bedding: No additional bedding accommodated.
Getting To and From Ramada Hotel & Suites Noumea
Return airport transfers by coach are included as required/agreed in our holday package prices. Private car transfers are available at additional cost.
Shops, restaurants food markets, patisseries - almost everything you need is within walking distance of Ramada Hotel & Suites. Local buses are readily available – the local bus takes around 20 minutes to get from Anse Vate to downtown Noumea. Taxis are reasonable in price for trips into town.
Families and Kids

Up to 2 Children under 12 years of age sharing with their parents are accommodated free of charge in existing bedding (subject to room grade maximum occupancy policies).

Children aged between 3 and 12 years receive breakfast at 50% of the adult rate.
For lunch and dinner Ramada Hotel & Suites offers a special Kids Menu for children aged under 12 years.

Check out time is 11:00am
Late check-out to 6:00pm is available at 50% of the nightly tariff of the room type occupied.
Guests arriving prior to 3:00pm and requiring guaranteed immediate check-in are charged an extra 50% of their nightly room tariff.
Ramada Noumea provide a luggage room for guests to use while waiting for their accommodation to become available.
Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be made in writing
Cancellations received more than 72 hours before arrival
date: No charge.
Cancellations received less than 72 hours before arrival
date: subject to a charge of one night at the tariff rate
booked plus tax.
No-shows: Guests who fail to arrive will be charged for the
entire stay at the tariff rate booked plus tax.
