OUR thoughts on The Westin Maui Resort & Spa, Ka'anapali Beach, Maui
You simply could not find a more central location on Ka’anapali Beach. The gardens and pools of the Westin Maui Resort & Spa almost seamlessly merge with the beach, there are two golf courses virtually across the road running behind the resort and Whalers Village shops, restaurants, galleries and museums are right next door. Match this great location with all the facilities and activities plus the high standards of the Westin brand and you have a pretty good base for a perfect holiday.
The first thing you notice on your check-in at Westin Maui Resort & Spa is the wonderful way they have incorporated soothing water features into all the public spaces – there’s water, water everywhere! Water cascades over lava rock outcrops forming beautiful waterfalls into ponds teeming with colourful fish, flamingos (real ones!) and the odd black swan. The huge expanse of the resort’s many swimming pools dominate the entire garden area between the resort buildings and the beach meandering through scattered palm trees and flowering tropical shrubs. Everywhere there are sun loungers for guests to use. Families enjoy the swimming pools and the spiralling water slide, but those seeking tranquillity are not overlooked as there is a beautiful adults-only pool complete with a whirlpool spa too.
Wander over the Ka’anapali Beach Walk on to the beach and there you will find a perfect Maui beach and plenty of beach activities in the form of paddle-boarding, parasailing etc. Wander down the Beach Walk to Whalers Village or a further 10 minutes or so bringing you to Black Rock and all the activities that surround this landmark. As well as the ease of walking from this location, we also enjoy the complimentary shuttle bus which takes you around the other Starwood properties, the golf courses and to Lahaina Town, dropping you off right outside 3 of Lahaina Town’s major attractions - Lahaina Cannery Mall, Lahaina Gateway, and Hilo Hattie's at the new Outlets of Maui.
Westin make a deal of fuss about their “Heavenly” beds and so they should, their beds are super comfortable. They also have “Heavenly” cots for infants and in a quirky twist they also provide “Heavenly” pet beds for dogs! Not that we can see too many Kiwi travellers taking their pets to Maui, but the fact that this is a pet-friendly resort only reinforces how they cover every base in delivering a perfect holiday for all their guests.
We thoroughly recommend visitors to Maui take a rental car for at least part of their stay and we are happy to organise this for you. Maui is perfect for exploring by car and the fact that Westin Maui Resort & Spa has easy parking makes having a rental car a no-hassle option when you stay at this resort.

Please note that pool privileges are not included in this program. Guests may only enjoy the pool at the hotel where they are registered. Kukahi rooms are located in the lower floors, each room with a balcony and view of tropical greens and the West Maui Mountains.
Room size is approximately 31m2, ADA Rooms available.

Additional Bedding: 1 Single Rollaway Bed may be added to rooms with existing King Bed.

Kukahi - Premium Resort View Rooms:
Kukahi rooms are located on the higher floors offering panoramic vistas of the West Maui Mountains & Kaanapali Golf courses. Enjoy sunrise over the mountains from the balcony.

Maximum Occupancy: 4 guests
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed or 2 Queen Beds.

Kukahi - Ocean View Rooms:
Ocean View Rooms are located on the mid-level floors with views of the resort pools & a balcony to watch the Kaanapali Beach sunsets.

Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed or 2 Standard Double Beds.

Kukahi - Superior Ocean View Rooms:
Superior Ocean View Rooms are on the high floors of the Ocean Tower and look over the resort grounds and resort pools.

The Sundeck Room has an extended outdoor lanai surrounded by lawn & gardens, has direct access to the adult pool & infinity pool area. This room is available for guests 21 years and older.

Hokupa'a Ocean View Rooms:

Getting to and from The Westin Maui Resort & Spa
We will provide a coach or private car arrival/departure transfers between either of the 2 airports serving Maui and The Westin Maui Resort & Spa in package arrangements as required/agreed.
Being right beside Whalers Village means all the services, restaurants and retail outlets of Whalers Village are almost integrated into the resort. Starwood Hotels Maui provide a Resort Shuttle bus which operates between the 3 Starwood Resorts and Lahaina town. A Outlets Mall has opened in Lahaina and the complimentary shuttle between the Starwood properties at Ka’anapali and Lahaina is a great way to visit the outlet shops as well as all the other attractions Lahaina offers.

Children 17 years of age and under sharing with at least 1 paying adult/parent are accommodated free of charge when utilising existing bedding, subject to room maximum occupancy policies.
Cots for babies are provided free of charge, subject to room maximum occupancy policies.
Rollaway beds for children aged 17 and under are provided at additional cost, subject to room maximum occupancy policies.
