Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows is one of Hawai’i’s original oceanfront escapes, charming guests for generations. Located on the world-renowned Ka’anapali Beach, the resort sits on 27 acres of sun-kissed, tropical gardens and offers an island-inspired getaway. In addition to its beauty and prime location, the resort includes plenty of other reasons for travelers to visit.

The resort and Lahaina Kai Tower offer well-appointed rooms and suites overlooking the ocean — guests can also choose to stay in private beachfront bungalows. The bungalows are currently in the process of a complete renovation. Set to be unveiled in 2023, the new bungalows feature island-inspired, retro chic furniture and decor, renovated showers and vanity areas, new lanai decks, and patio furniture.

The Royal Ocean Terrace Restaurant & Lounge features locally inspired dishes and handcrafted cocktails steps from the sand. Guests enjoy delectable dishes celebrating the island, such as poke bowls, coconut shrimp, hand line ahi carpaccio, seafood cioppino and more.

Once a traditional vacation spot for Hawai’ian royalty, the property is now owned and curated by locals who share the values of the island. Guests can take ukulele and hula lessons, listen to live Hawai’ian music and take part in a polyfit class. Don’t miss out on one of Maui’s longest-running and most popular luau, “The Myths of Maui.” Royal Lahaina is a legacy destination with endless ways to discover and take part in the culture.

Enjoy an effortless beach experience while soaking up the sun. Guests can take advantage of lounge chairs, umbrellas and a stocked cooler. Your Accommodation Options
Royal Lahaina Resort has a huge range of accommodation options spread over 2 distinctly different accommodation types.  Firstly, there is the 12-story Lahaina Kai Tower which houses the Hotel Rooms and the 1 and 2 Bedroom Tower Suites and, secondly the Bungalows which are spread throughout the lawns and gardens beside The Tower and the beach.

Room Categories

 Lahaina Kai Tower
All rooms in the 12-level Lahaina Kai Tower are 32.5m² in area and have a walk-out balcony (lanai) which is furnished with 2 outdoor chairs and an outdoor coffee table. Bathrooms have a shower only.
All Rooms in Tower
Maximum Occupancy: 4 guests
Existing Bedding: 2 Double Beds or 1 King Bed.
Additional Bedding: One Rollaway Bed may be added to rooms with 1 King Bed at additional charge.

 Tower Standard Rooms:
Located on the 3th and 4th floors (lowest accommodation floors). Rooms facing north or south, offer limited views of the surrounding areas from the guestroom lanai.
Tower Partial Ocean View Rooms:
Located on the 3rd through 5th floors. Rooms facing north or south, offer limited views of the ocean and surrounding areas from the guestroom lanai.
Tower Ocean View Rooms:
North facing rooms on the 3rd through 12th floors or south facing rooms located on the 6th through 12th floors. South facing rooms offer views of the West Maui Mountains, Kaanapali Resort area and ocean from the guestroom lanai. North facing rooms offer views of the surrounding resort area and the ocean from the guestroom lanai.
Tower Deluxe Ocean View Rooms:
North facing rooms on the 8th through 12th floors. Rooms offer views of the surrounding resort area, the Island of Molokai and the ocean from inside the guestroom as well as from the lanai.
Tower Ocean Front View Rooms:
Located on the 3rd through 12th floors. Rooms offer full views of the ocean, the Islands of Lanai and Molokai and sunset from inside the guestroom as well as from the lanai.

 Lahaina Kai Tower Suites
1 Bedroom Oceanfront Molokai Suites:
One-Bedroom Oceanfront Molokai suites are located on the 3rd through12th floors with full ocean and sunset views from inside the suite. Suites offer separate living and bedroom areas with one bathroom and two lanais. Bedding is one king bed and a sofa bed. Total area is 73m².
Maximum Occupancy: 4 guests
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed and a Queen bed-sized Fold-out Sofa Bed.
Additional Bedding: One Rollaway Bed may be added at additional charge.

 2 Bedroom Oceanfront Molokai Suites:
A 2 Bedroom Suite is a 1 Bedroom Oceanfront Lanai Molokai Suite interconnected with an Ocean View Guest Room. This provides 105.5m² of area, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms plus a separate lounge area.
Maximum Occupancy: 6 guests
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed and a Queen bed-sized Fold-out Sofa Bed plus 2 Double Beds in the second bedroom.
Additional Bedding: One Rollaway Bed may be added at additional charge (subject to maximum occupancy policies).

 1 Bedroom Oceanfront Lanai Suites:
One-Bedroom Oceanfront Lanai Suites are located on the 6^th through 12th floors with full ocean and sunset views from inside the suite. Suites offer separate living and bedroom areas with two bathrooms and two lanais. Bedding is one king bed and a sofa bed. Total area is 73m².
Maximum Occupancy: 4 guests
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed and a Queen bed-sized Fold-out Sofa Bed.
Additional Bedding: One Rollaway Bed may be added at additional charge.

 2 Bedroom Oceanfront Lanai Suites:
A 2 Bedroom Suite is a 1 Bedroom Oceanfront Lanai Suite interconnected with an Ocean Front Guest Room. This provides 105.5m² of area, 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms plus a separate lounge area.
Maximum Occupancy: 6 guests
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed and a Queen bed-sized Fold-out Sofa Bed plus 2 Double Beds in the second bedroom.
Additional Bedding: One Rollaway Bed may be added at additional charge (subject to maximum occupancy policies)

 Garden & Ocean View Bungalows:
The Bungalows at Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows are in a wide area of beautiful gardens between The Lahaina Kai Tower and a portion of a golf course on the Black Rock side of the resort.  The Bungalows have several units in each one/two-level buildings scattered throughout the area.  The Oceanfront Bungalows are very close to the beach. 

Deluxe Garden Bungalows:
Located on the ground level amongst the resort's tropical gardens, Deluxe Garden Bungalows feature a sleeping area, a bathroom, and a large outdoor lanai space.
Maximum Occupancy: 4 guests
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed Bed or 2 Double Beds.
Additional Bedding: One Rollaway Bed may be added at additional charge.

Deluxe Ocean Front Bungalow:
Located on the ground level just a few steps from the beach.
Maximum Occupancy: 4 guests
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed Bed or 2 Double Beds.
Additional Bedding: One Rollaway Bed may be added at additional charge.

Getting to and from Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows
We will provide a coach or private car arrival/departure transfer from/to either Kahului Airport or Kapalua Airport to Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows in package arrangements as required/agreed.

Children aged under 18 years stay free when sharing accommodation with parents and utilising existing bedding.


Check-in/Check Out
The hotel advise that they will do all possible to accommodate guests arriving prior to 3:00pm but can only guarantee accommodation will be available immediately on arrival if accommodation has been booked and paid from the night prior to arrival.
