OUR thoughts on Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort
The Outrigger Reef has an excellent location. If you are looking for a good quality, superior mid-range beachfront hotel in a less hectic part of the famous beach, this would be a good choice.  The imposing main entrance is on Kalia Road almost directly at the end of Beachwalk, the centre of the wonderfully rejuvenated Beach Walk Precinct which bristles with new shops, hotels, cafes, restaurants and more.  One block down Beachwalk (or Lewers Road) brings you to Kalakaua Avenue, the main street of Waikiki Beach. The park-like Fort DeRussy Armed Forces Recreation Area is only one narrow resort away from the hotel.  The Pink Line of the Waikiki Trolley runs right along Kalia Road outside the hotel which gives easy access to Ala Moana Shopping Centre and all stops on the Pink Line. 

The hotel occupies a block of land which runs between Kalia Road and the beach and the recreation/dining area takes up another block beside the accommodation with the swimming pool and lounging areas towards the road side and the restaurants on the beach frontage, indeed, the Shore Bird Restaurant seems to encroach on the beach itself.  The view over the pool from the east-facing rooms is reminiscent of the view of the pool deck of a huge cruise ship with the sea beyond.

There is a lot to like about this hotel.  Prepare to be impressed from the moment you arrive when you enter the Reception area, where you are seated to complete check-in formalities. Then there is the Hawaiian Library and lounge for quiet times.  Nightly entertainment is featured at the Kani Ka Pila Grille.  The Shore Bird Restaurant features a well-priced buffet breakfast and grill-your-own steak and fish feature at dinner.  The Ocean House Restaurant serves lighter, a la carte meals and nicely complements the other 2 restaurants.

This is a big hotel, so we suggest you take some time to read all the literature provided to you at check-in and the guide books found throughout the hotel.  You will be surprised at the discounts and deals you find and the literature will also help you understand how to get the best out of a holiday based here. There is a long list of complimentary activities for guests at Outrigger Reef like the daily cultural activities which are fun, the internet access and the use of the Fitness Centre, but the one that is a bit different is the twice weekly wedding vow renewal ceremony held on the beach.  For romantics, a vow renewal on the beach is a really nice experience.  Numbers are strictly limited and guests of other Outrigger Hotels in Waikiki can also access this activity, so you need to book participation as soon after you arrive as possible. 

Daily Resort Charge
Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach have a Daily Resort Charge includes amenities for you to enjoy during your stay and is compulsory, is automatically added to your room account and payable direct to the resort.

 Voyager 47 Club
Voyager 47 Club rooms and suites include exclusive entry to the new Voyager 47 Club Lounge, an all-new facility overlooking Waikiki Beach, which provides guests staying in this room and suite category an excellent range of additional inclusions and services.
In the lounge:

● TV lounge area
● Large outdoor deck overlooking Waikiki Beach
● In the evening, light pupus (appetisers), premium wines, and locally crafted beers
● Island style morning breakfast offering locally inspired breakfast items & beverages.

Minimum Stay Policy:
For stays including 26 December to 04 January a minimum 2 nights stay is required.

Room Categories
 Standard Rooms:
Standard Rooms (only some have a balcony) are located in the Ocean Tower facing straight on to the rooms of the next door resort which is very close, we don’t recommend these rooms because of this. City View Rooms, the next category up, are only approximately $25 more expensive per night, have a more pleasing outlook and all have a balcony. Standard Rooms are 32m² in size with a combined shower/bath.
Maximum Occupancy: 3 guests
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed or 2 Queen Beds.
Additional Bedding:  A cot for a baby aged under 2 years may be added to the rooms with 1 King Bed.

Resort View Rooms:
Resort View Rooms are overlooking the resort and views of the Honolulu skyline and mountaiins.
Maximum Occupancy: 4 guests
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed or 2 Queen Beds
Additional Bedding:  A cot for a baby aged up to 2 years can be provided (included in room maximum).

 Partial Ocean View Rooms:
These rooms are 33m² and have partial ocean views from the lanai.  They face east over the pool area towards Diamond Head.  In the Pacific Tower towards the city end they are located on the mid to upper floors and in the Ocean Tower they are located on the lower to middle floors. Each has a lanai and combined shower/bath.
Maximum Occupancy: 4 guests
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed or 2 Queen Beds
Additional Bedding:  A cot for a baby aged up to 2 years can be provided (included in room maximum).

 Ocean View Rooms:
Ocean View Rooms are 32m². They enjoy partial ocean views from within the rooms and a wider ocean view from their lanai. Located on the higher floors of both towers, they either face west towards the sunsets over Fort DeRussy Park and the ocean beyond or east towards Diamond Head. Each has a lanai and combined shower/bath.
Maximum Occupancy: 4 guests
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed or 2 Queen Beds
Additional Bedding:  A cot for a baby aged up to 2 years can be provided (included in room maximum).

 Voyager 47 Club Ocean Front Rooms:
The beautiful Ocean Front Rooms are 38m² in size and are located in a “dress circle” position overlooking the beach and the ocean from the Ocean Tower. Each enjoys a special, unencumbered ocean view. Each has a lanai and combined shower/bath. Guests staying in Voyager 47 Club Ocean Front Rooms have access to the Voyager 47 Club Lounge.
Maximum Occupancy: 4 guests
Existing Bedding: 2 Queen Beds or 1 King Bed and a Queen-size fold-out Sofa Bed.
Additional Bedding:  A cot for a baby aged up to 2 years can be provided (included in room maximum).

Getting to and from Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort
We will provide a coach or private car arrival/departure transfers between Honolulu International Airport and Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort in package arrangements as required/agreed.


Kids’ Policy
 Kids Stay Free
Children 17 years of age and under stay free if accommodated in existing bedding, sharing with at least 1 paying adult and subject to individual room category maximum occupancy policies.

Complimentary cots for infants under 2 years of age are provided.

Check-in/Check Out
The hotel advises that they will do all possible to accommodate guests arriving prior to 3:00pm but can only guarantee accommodation will be available immediately on arrival if accommodation has been booked and paid from the night prior to arrival.

Check Out Time: 11:00am
A late check-out to 6:00pm may be available at a charge of 50% of the room rate occupied. This facility can only be arranged once guests check-in and is payable by guests direct to the hotel.
