OUR Thoughts on Courtyard by Marriott Waikiki Beach, 400 Royal Hawaiian Avenue, Waikiki
True to the “Courtyard by Marriott” brand positioning, this hotel is a good 3-Star standard and offers pretty good value for money for those seeking a mid-range property at which to base themselves for a Waikiki holiday. The hotel was refurbished in 2016 and the rooms are done out in contemporary style while retaining a pleasant Hawaiian ambience.  Part of the refurbishment included a new swimming pool which is smallish (like many of Waikiki’s swimming pools) but is a nice place to retreat to after a day of sightseeing.  The Standard Rooms are quite small too, but totally adequate for a place to lay your head although, for very little additional cost, the Deluxe Rooms, Junior Suites and One Bedroom Suites offer not only more space but also the added advantage of a kitchenette.  

The hotel occupies part of a block bounded by Royal Hawaiian Avenue, Kuhio Avenue and Lewers Streets, so, while it is a block away from Waikiki’s famous Kalakaua Avenue, it is very central and it’s an easy walk to all Waikiki’s attractions from here. 

Consider Courtyard by Marriott Waikiki Beach if you are looking for a refurbished hotel, good value for money in Waikiki terms, friendly efficient staff, a location which gives you easy access to a very wide range of food outlets and shopping.

Daily Resort Charge
Courtyard by Marriott Waikiki Beach have a Daily Resort Charge includes amenities for you to enjoy during your stay and is compulsory, is automatically added to your room account and payable direct to the resort.

Room Categories (In ascending order of tariff)
 Standard Rooms:
Approximately 18.5m² and have a small lanai (balcony) and ensuite bathroom with shower/bath combo. Bathrooms are small but adequate.  Standard Rooms offer a mini fridge and tea/coffee making facility.
Maximum Occupancy: 2 guests
Existing Bedding: 1 Queen Bed.
Additional Bedding: No additional bedding accommodated.

 Deluxe Rooms:
Approximately 25.5m² with a small lanai (balcony) and ensuite bathroom with shower/bath combo. The reasonably-priced upgrade to a Deluxe Room over a Standard Room is well worth considering for the additional space and the kitchenette facility.
Kitchenette comprises mini fridge, wet bar, microwave oven, dishes and glasses.
Maximum Occupancy: 2 guests
Existing Bedding: 1 Queen Bed or 1 King Bed or 2 Standard Double Beds.
Additional Bedding: 1 cot may be added.

 Double Deluxe Rooms:
Approximately 27m² with a small balcony and ensuite bathroom with shower/bath combo, Double deluxe Rooms offer additional space and a kitchenette comprising a mini fridge, wet bar, microwave, dishes and glasses.
Maximum Occupancy: 4 guests
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed or 2 Standard Double Beds.
Additional Bedding: 1 cot may be added to a room with 1 King Bed.

 Junior Suites:
Approximately 30m² open-plan units with a lanai (balcony) and ensuite bathroom with shower/bath combo, kitchenette comprising mini fridge, wet bar, microwave oven, dishes and glasses. 
Maximum Occupancy: 5 guests
Existing Bedding: 2 Standard Double Beds and a 3-seater pull-out Sofa Bed.
Additional Bedding: 1 cot may be added.

 One Bedroom Suites:
The size of 2 Standard Rooms at approximately 36m² and have a bigger lanai (balcony) and ensuite bathroom with shower/bath combo than other unit types. The kitchenette comprising mini fridge, wet bar, microwave oven, dishes and glasses.  The bedroom and the living room are separate although the divider may be opened to provide a greater feeling of space.  These units are very good value for what they offer.
Maximum Occupancy: 3 guests
Existing Bedding: 1 King or Queen Bed and a 3-seater pull-out Sofa Bed.
Additional Bedding: 1 cot may be added.

Getting to and from Courtyard by Marriott Waikiki Beach
We will provide a coach or private car arrival/departure transfers between Honolulu International Airport and Courtyard by Marriott Waikiki Beach in package arrangements as required/agreed.

A leisurely stroll one block (approximately 250 metres) along Royal Hawaiian Avenue brings you to Kalakaua Avenue at the heart of Waikiki City.  Cross Kalakaua Avenue at DFS Galleria and you are at the entrance to The Royal Hawaiian Shopping Centre and almost at the entrance to Sheraton Waikiki on Waikiki Beach and very handy to the beautiful Beach Walk precinct. 

Courtyard by Marriott Waikiki Beach is surrounded by public transport options- the terminus for all the Waikiki Trolley services is very handy, so you have ready access to all the Waikiki Trolley scheduled services and tours.  The bus stops almost outside on Kuhio Avenue.
