Our Thoughts on Wakaya Club & Spa, Off East Viti Levu, Fiji
Wakaya Island is home to the legendary Wakaya Club and Spa, an exclusive and intimate 10 “bure” (suite) beachfront resort and two spectacular private villas. Wakaya Island is abundant in dense tropical forests, stunning beaches and surrounded by a Marine Protected Area, home to vibrant coral reefs and a plethora of ocean life.
The beautiful idyllic resort and island, only 40 minutes by private plane from Nadi airport, welcomes guest of all ages.
Wakaya prides itself on being one of the best culinary destinations in the South Pacific. Our award-winning Executive Chef Marielle Hajj brings forward the teachings of the culinary greats from around the world, combined with her Lebanese heritage and Mexican roots to the kitchen of Wakaya. The island's cuisine provides an entirely organic dining experience. Island Dining- Guests have the option to dine at the Palm Grove Dining Pavilion, Poolside Gazebo, at the Beach House, or private villa. Eighty percent of our ingredients are locally grown or raised on the island or in the surrounding sea. A combination of traditional Fijian cooking and other techniques from around the world. Wakaya’s wine cellar is filled with the finest wines from Australia and New Zealand, and our champagne, cognac, tequila, and other liquors respectfully come from their country of origin.
The Wakaya Spa, together with Pure Fiji, offers a variety of spa services utilizing Fiji’s finest skin care products. Offering a wide variety of body treatments, facials, and massages designed to create a nurturing and healing experience. Breeze Spa has two treatment rooms (for couples massage) Vale Levu has also, two rooms for massage and Seqa Na Leqa has one spa room.
Wakaya is proud to have one of Fiji’s very few marine reserves at its shore. The reserve is home to giant clams, vibrant coral and a plethora of sea-life. Wakaya is known for its scuba diving! Perfect for both first time and experienced divers. Guests are guided to the best dive sites Fiji has to offer, our team of professional dive instructors and masters will take care of you.

The island is equipped with a professionally designed golf course which is described by Golf Today as “a challenging 9-hole pitch and putt” course “snaking its way through a 19th Century coconut grove.” The resort has tennis courts and a fully equipped gymnasium. There are many scenic walks throughout the island. Along the walks, guests will come across unique indigenous medicinal plants in the shade of the rainforest as well as historic village ruins depicting Wakaya’s fascinating history. Additionally, there are many beaches some of which only accessible by kayaks, making for the most private of excursions. Exploring the island and its’ beaches guests will also find various peaceful places to rest and relax.

Wakaya Club & Spa is your very own intimate hideaway, with only Ten Oceanfront Bure's - 9 Oceanfront & 1 Gardenview (Bure is the Fijian word for “cottage”), and two Private Villas (2 and 3 bedrooms).
A minimum 3 nights stay is required at Wakaya Club & Spa.

Yasi Bure:
2400 sq ft hideaway – 1 Bedroom, Secluded retreat; Private garden with a waterfall, Two outdoor decks and Generous Master Bedroom & Bath
Maximum Occupancy per Bure: 2 Adults and 1 Child aged 17 and under.
Existing Bedding in each Bure: 1 King Bed
Additional Bedding: A single bed can be added for 1 child aged 17 and under.
Valelevu Bure:
Oceanfront – 2 bedroom retreat - 4500 sq ft, Luxurious appointed bath and deep soaking tub, Two large outdoor covered decks, secluded garden leading down to the beach and Plunge pool and a two treatment room spa
Maximum Occupancy per Bure: 4 Adults and 2 Children (aged 17 and under)
Existing Bedding in each Bure: 2 King Beds
Additional Bedding: A maximum of 2 rollaways can be added.
Seqa Na Leqa Villa:
10,000 sq ft Premium luxury retreat, 2 Bedroom / 3.5 Baths, Master wing: 2 bedrooms/2.5 baths, Spacious Living area, Great Hall and Foyer, Kitchen, Library, Exercise room and 125 ft/38m infinity edge Swimming Pool and Spa pool, Guest Suite: Living Room and Plunge pool and Included: Chef, Chauffeur, Personal Staff

Getting To and From Wakaya Club & Spa
40 minute scenic flight by private plane from Nadi Airport. The tariff includes Personal Wakaya Club Welcome at Nadi International Airport or Nausori Airport, with escort to domestic terminal for departure to Wakaya Island. All flights operate only in daylight hours 7am to 4pm.
Kids’ Policy
Children are welcome year-round. Children 4 years and younger are complimentary in existing accommodations.
Check-in/Check-out
A guaranteed Early Morning Check-in (from 7am) and late afternoon check-out (to 4pm) is included.
