OUR thoughts on DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Hotel Fiji - Sonaisali Island
Although it's very close to the mainland, there is no mistaking that you are on an island when you stay at this resort hotel.  The surrounding sea and all the in-water and water-borne activities add immeasurably to the enjoyment of a holiday here. You will never be stuck for things to do with many optional activities available such as scuba dive courses and dive trips, trips to the famous Cloudbreak surf location which is only 15kms away, a sunset yacht cruise, easy access to the Denarau Golf Course (20kms away) and don’t overlook the resort’s own tennis court, their fitness facility and their delightful spa. 

From the moment you arrive at this resort, you can't help but be immediately drawn to the warm feeling of "family" this place engenders - all around you people are relaxing and enjoying theselves in that familiar "Fiji-fashion" you came here to experience.  The central focus-point of the resort is the large free-form horizon swimming pool (with swim-up bar), which is flanked by the resort’s main restaurant and sun-lounge deck, but the resort covers only a small area of Sonaisali Island.  The island itself is a good size and provides plenty of area for a private ramble and for those times when you might feel like a little private space around you.

This private island resort is a great spot for a wedding or honeymoon. DoubleTree Resort by Hilton, Fiji - Sonaisali Island is a “happening” place – there is always something of interest going on. The list of optional (charge) activities on tap is huge; everything from jet skis to game fishing, scuba diving, dive courses, sunset cruises, Fijian fire-walking, and a whole lot more. It also has excellent facilities for family holidays and conferences.

Your Guestroom and Bure Options
The two, two level Guestroom Beachfront blocks are located on either side of the main building and pool complex. Both these blocks house the generous-sized hotel rooms and there is a superb ocean view from every one. Next to the Hotel Room blocks there is a row of single-level Premium Beachfront Bures. The Ocean View Bures are immediately behind the Premium Beachfront Bures and positioned to give occupants a nice view of the ocean framed by the Premium Beachfront Bures in front. The Bures in both categories have similar layout, size and facilities, the proximity to the ocean frontage is the main point of difference between them.

HOTEL-STYLE GUEST ROOMS
 Double Queen Beachfront Guestrooms:
Beautifully rejuvenated and modernised over recent times, the 45m² Beachfront Guestrooms are fully air-conditioned and feature polished tile floors and a spacious bathroom with separate bath and shower. 
A surcharge applies for a guaranteed ground floor guestroom.
Maximum Occupancy: 2 Adults and 2 Children up to 12 years of age.
Existing Bedding: 2 Queen Beds
Additional Bedding: 1 Cot may be added but this does not increase the maximum room occupancy.

 OCEAN VIEW BURES:
Modern 46m² bures with high vaulted ceilings which adds to the feeling of space.  Air-conditioned plus ceiling fans for cooling and a beautiful modern bathroom with over-sized rain-head shower. Each Ocean View Bure has a furnished veranda.
There are 2 categories of Ocean View Bures:
 - Ocean View Bures - King
 - Ocean View Bures - Double King
 Ocean View Bures - King:
Maximum Occupancy: 3 guests (adults or adults and children)
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed (bed does not split)
Additional Bedding: 1 Rollaway bed or 1 Cot may be added.
 Ocean View Bures - Double King:
Maximum Occupancy: 4 Adults or 2 Adults and 2 Children or 3 Adults and 1 Child
Existing Bedding: 2 King Beds only.
Additional Bedding: No additional bedding accommodated.

PREMIUM OCEAN VIEW BURES:
Closer to the ocean than the Ocean View Bures, the 46m² Premium Bures have high vaulted ceilings which adds to the feeling of space.  Each has air-conditioning as well as ceiling fans for cooling and a beautiful modern bathroom with over-sized rain-head shower. Premium Ocean View Bures have a private furnished veranda.

Maximum Occupancy: 3 guests (adults or adults and children)
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed (Bed does not split)

Premium Ocean View Bures - Double King:

Getting to and from Doubletree Resort by Hilton Fiji - Sonaisali Island
We will provide a coach or private car arrival/departure transfer from/to Nadi International Airport to the wharf at Sonaisali in package arrangements as required/agreed.  The transfer time between Nadi Airport and Doubletree Resort by Hilton Fiji - Sonaisali Island is approximately 30 minutes.

Please be advised travel to DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Fiji-Sonaisali Island requires a short boat ride from the mainland to the island. At the Sonaisali Landing guests join the complimentary 3-minute, resort boat transfer across the lagoon to the Island. Boat transfers are available 24/7 for the convenience of the guests.

Resort boat transfers can also be arranged between Sonaisali Island and Port Denarau Marina and to and from most Mamanuca Island Resorts.
