Beachcomber Island Resort Renovations
Beachcomber will be undergoing renovations through the resort and will continue in 2025 and into 2026.
During this time, rooms will be renovated and additional rooms added to the island and upgrades to the restaurant and bar area.

Our Thoughts on Beachcomber Island Resort, Mamanuca Islands, Fiji
Beachcomber is your classic South Seas Island – a dot on the map comprising a small flat island surrounded by warm waters and white sand and covered in tropical gardens and waving palm trees. Beachcomber has a past, as we all do, but it has moved on with new owners (late 2024) who are committed to transforming the Pacific’s best known party island, into a small comfortable boutique and affordable island resort catering to a wide range of Kiwi travellers. The resort has range of accommodation options, from modern Beachfront King & Twin rooms to traditionally thatched Bures in classic Fijian style.
The food offering is vastly improved with a brand-new kitchen, new chefs, whilst still offering that sand between your toes dining experience. Beachcomber has a great variety of activities focused around experiencing the welcoming Fijian culture, the many watersports and activities, and the beautiful local environment. Snorkelling gear is available so you can snorkel and watch the fish and turtles feeding on the pristine coral reef of our marine sanctuary encasing the entire island. Perfect resort to also chill out with a fabulous cocktail on the beach or enjoy a quiet swim in the ocean.

Room Categories

Beachfront King and Twin Rooms:
10 Beachfront King Rooms and 6 Beachfront Twin Rooms, all have ensuite and air conditioning and their own balcony. The beach is meters away from the room, although entry to the water is a little rocky, it is recommended you access the sandy beach which is a 3min walk. The entry level room we offer, more suited to singles, couples, or couples with a young child in the twin room.
Maximum Occupancy: 2 Adults or 1 Adult/1 Child in King Room. 3 Adults or 2 Adults/1 Child in Twin Room
Existing Bedding: 1 King (King Room) or 1 King + 1 Single Bed (Twin Room)
Ocean Front Bures:
The 15 Ocean Front Bures enjoy a position with the beach metres away from your doorstep. take in amazing sunsets from the deck & admire the surrounding islands. With modern architecture, each of the comfortable, airy and spacious hotel-style rooms offers a fridge, tea/coffee maker, ceiling fans and air-conditioning, as well as private decks with sun loungers.
Ensuite bathroom with shower.
Maximum Occupancy: 3 Adults or 2 Adults/1 Child
Existing Bedding: 1 King + 1 Single Bed
Beach Front Bures:
The 6 traditionally thatched stand-alone Beachfront Bures, all are metres from the beach and feature traditional Fijian architecture, a spacious interior, fridge, tea/coffee making facility, ceiling fan and air-conditioning, and private decks furnished with sun-loungers.
Ensuite bathroom with shower.
Maximum Occupancy: 3 Adults or 2 Adults/1 Child
Existing Bedding: 1 King + 1 Single Bed
Ocean Front Family Bures:
The 6 Ocean Front Family Bures are large & spacious offering plenty of room for families with Mum, Dad and 3 kids. They are metres from the beach and feature traditional Fijian architecture, a spacious interior, fridge, tea/coffee making facility, ceiling fan and air-conditioning, and private decks furnished with sun-loungers.
Ensuite bathroom with shower.
Maximum Occupancy: 4 Adults or 2 Adults/2 Children
Existing Bedding: 1 King + 2 Single Beds
Getting to and from Beachcomber Island Resort
There is a wide range of boat transfer options for guests staying at Beachcomber Island Resort.
Scheduled South Sea Islands Catamaran Ferries:
Transfer boats depart Port Denarau Marina several times during the day.
Scheduled & Off Scheduled Transfers:
Beachcomber guests may depart/arrive at Port Denarau Marina.
Kids Policy
Children of all ages are welcome year-round at Beachcomber Island Resort.
Children ages are 3-12yrs.
Cots are provided free of charge for infants under 3 years old.
