OUR Thoughts on The Palms, Denarau Marina, Fiji
This recently built complex offers delightfully modern apartment-style holiday accommodation in a great location right beside the entrance to Port Denarau and the Denarau Marina shops, restaurants, entertainment and transport facilities. In addition to 1, 2 & 3 bedroom apartments with kitchen and laundry facilities which are ideal for singles, couples, families and small groups, the 10 hotel-style studio rooms are also a suitable accommodation choice for singles, couples and small families. You wouldn’t describe The Palms as a “full resort” (there are plenty of those located in other parts of Denarau Island). However, when you take into account the swimming pool, the 24-hour gym and the on-site café and team these with the spacious apartments on offer and the ready access to the whole range of services available within easy walking distance at Port Denarau Marina, you have a very interesting alternative to a resort stay on Denarau Island.
Most people staying at Denarau Resorts spend some of their time at the restaurants etc at Port Denarau Marina, so what we are offering here is the ability to do the opposite to the established pattern – that is, to stay at The Marina and have the opportunity to easily visit and enjoy the facilities of the resorts located around the beachfront of Denarau Island. We consider The Palms a very good option for holidaymakers seeking to spend a little less on meals, as, not only is there a very reasonably-priced café on-site at The Palms (they do an excellent breakfast), the restaurants and dining options over at The Marina are many and varied and of course, the apartments at The Palms have good kitchen facilities for home meals.
Your Accommodation Options
The Palms is a modern complex located right beside the access road and entrance to the Port Denarau Marina Complex. With a total of 38 units over 3 accommodation levels with lift access, The Palms offers an alternative to resort stays with its 10 hotel-style guest rooms and 28 apartments. Apartments have a spacious central lounge/dining/kitchen and either 1, 2 or 3 separate bedrooms.
The Palms is built close to the entrance road of Port Denarau Marina and all units have what they describe as “garden views”.
Room Categories (In ascending order of tariff)
Guest Rooms:
Guest Rooms are 35m2, fresh and modern with polished-tiled floor and a small seating area.
Interconnecting rooms facility. No balcony.
Ensuite bathroom with shower.
Maximum Occupancy: 2 adults or 2 adults and 2 children aged under 18 years.
Existing Bedding: 2 Queen Beds
Additional Bedding: A cot may be added.
1 Bedroom Apartments:
60m2 apartments with separate bedroom and lounge/dining and pleasant furnished balcony or patio.
Ensuite bathroom with shower or bath. Kitchen with full-size fridge/freezer, stove top, microwave oven, dishwasher, clothes washer, crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. Interconnecting rooms facility.
Maximum Occupancy: 2 guests
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed
Additional Bedding: A cot may be added.
2 Bedroom Apartments:
The 100m2 2 Bedroom Apartments are really spacious with 2 separate bedrooms plus a living room which contains the lounge/dining and kitchen. One bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with shower and there is a second bathroom with a shower and bath. The kitchen includes a full-size fridge freezer stove top, microwave oven, dishwasher, crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils, clothes washer and tumble-dryer.
Maximum Occupancy: 4 guests
Existing Bedding: 2 King Beds, 1 of which may be split into 2 Single Beds.
Additional Bedding: A cot may be added.
3 Bedroom Apartments:
At 120m2 the 3 Bedroom Apartments are ideal for a larger family or a group of friends to share. Similar to the 2 Bedroom Apartments but with the addition of a 3rd bedroom. The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms share the main bathroom while the main bedroom has an ensuite bathroom. The kitchen includes a full-size fridge freezer stove top, microwave oven, dishwasher, crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils, clothes washer and tumble-dryer.
Maximum Occupancy: 6 guests
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed in bedroom1, 1 Queen Bed in each of bedrooms 2 and 3.
Additional Bedding: A cot may be added.
Getting to and from The Palms Denarau
Return Airport transfers will normally be included in package arrangements as required/agreed. However, should you wish to make independent transfer arrangements between Nadi Airport and The Palms, we will happily remove transfers from your holday package.
The Palms is located right on the entrance to the Port Denarau and Marina Complex, so it is an easy walk beside the complex’s car park to access all the facilities, shops, restaurants and entertainment venues of Port Denarau. It is a slightly longer, but very doable walk to the Big Bula Water Park and all the other facilities in this area. The Denarau Shuttle Bus stops at The Palms and connects guests with all the other resorts and facilities of Denarau Island and the Yellow Bus provides regular services to and from Nadi Town.
Kids Policy
Children are welcome at The Palms. The flat-rate tariff structure allows for a specific number of guests (adults or children) in their 1, 2 & 3 Bedroom Apartments. In the Guest Rooms bedding is 2 Queen Beds and up to 2 children aged under 18 years may be accommodated free of charge when sharing with 1 or 2 adults.
Baby Cots are provided at no charge.

Check-in: 3:00pm
Check-out: 11:00am
Late Check-Out to 6:00pm is at a cost of 50% of the tariff of the accommodation occupied (Subject to availability)
Day Room
A Day Room for use between 10:00am and 6:00pm may be arranged at a charge of 50% of the nightly tariff for the specific accommodation type occupied.
