PARADISE COVE Yasawa Islands Fiji
Our Resort Report
OUR Thoughts on Paradise Cove Resort, Naukacuvu Island, Yasawa Islands, Fiji
We really like Paradise Cove and continue to receive great feedback from our customers (and our own team, a number who have holidayed there). A compact resort located right on a great all tide swimming beach, with access to superb snorkelling and a wide range of water sport activities. Accommodation ranges from cost effective standard bungalows, through to premium bungalows, and family friendly options (see Room Category descriptions below). A very popular boutique resort catering well for Kiwi travellers – we would rate this property as a good 4-star resort (although the entry level Garden & Paradise Garden Bungalows, are probably closer to 3.5 stars). As mentioned a great beach, two main public areas, one with the main pool and Black Rock restaurant & Sandbar, the other area called the Cove with their Boat Bar, two smaller swimming pools and their Japanese Omakase restaurant. Other resort facilities include their free Kids Club, Teen Tent, full Day Spa offering fantastic spa treatments seven days a week, and their PADI dive shop where you can arrange diving, game fishing, paddle boarding, kayaking, snorkelling equipment, and many of our exciting day trips and adventure activities.
Other highlights, other than the great Paradise staff and the fantastic beachside location, is undoubtedly the quality of their food offering. Buffet continental & cooked to order breakfasts, good choice of lunch options from usual resort lunch fare to their superb 3 course per person Tapas menu, and then there’s dinner with a changing a la carte menu every two days, or their Japanese inspired multi-course set menu at the Omakase, and last but not least, their weekly Friday night Island Buffet meal and entertainment. It can be challenging in an island environment to consistently deliver good or great quality food, and feedback from our many customers and our own team, is that the food is a highlight of any stay here. While the Compulsory Meal Plan is up there price-wise, our personal view is that provided they continue to maintain their quality food offering, then it is worth it.

Paradise Cove’s Prepaid Meal Plan covering every day / night booked is a compulsory addition for all guests.

These open-plan villas built duplex style, feature a King Bed on a level up two steps from the lounge area and are excellent value for the space and facilities on offer. They also have a double day bed on the front veranda, which overlooks the decked Cove area with its two small swimming pools.
Maximum Occupancy: 2 Adults or 2 Adults and 2 Children.

These freestanding open-plan villas, feature a King Bed on a level up two steps from the lounge area and spill out onto the resorts beach area. Room features private balcony with daybed, beachside sun loungers and sun hut for shade. In our opinion these villas are best suited to adult couples, although they can accommodate one set of double Bed Bunks for kids – please note the two room garden bures work better for families, and are a similar cost to these beachfront villas.
Maximum Occupancy: 2 Adults or 2 Adults and 2 Children.
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed.
Additional Bedding: 1 Single Bed, or 1 set of single bunk beds, or cot may be added.

These Two Room Villas (promoted by the resort as two bedroom) are superb for families with 2 or more kids, having a great functional room layout. The villa layout is the same for Garden or Beachfront, with the Beachfront Villas also coming with beachside sun loungers and sun hut for shade. The lounge area and master bedroom make up one open plan room, with the other bedroom connected via the bathroom, or its own access via the deck. This second room can take a number of beds and is usually occupied by the kids, although it can work for small groups travelling together – it has its own toilet. Both rooms access the large open aired tropical outdoor ensuite with outdoor shower.
Maximum Occupancy: 6 Guests
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed in the main room and 1 King Bed split (which can split into 2 Single Beds) in the second room.
Additional Bedding: Additional Single Beds, or cot may be added to the separate bedroom.
Paradise Suites:

Paradise Suites are beachfront and are for one or two adults only. Similar in standard and layout to the Beachfront Villas, where they differ is their personal plunge pool and swinging double Day Bed under a thatched bure on the larger front deck. They also come with beachside sun loungers and sun hut for shade.
Maximum Occupancy: 2 Adults only
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed.
Additional Bedding: No additional bedding accommodated.

These are freestanding 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom villas, with separate lounge and kitchen (layout is: Bedroom / Kitchen & Lounge / Bedroom). Each bedroom has its own large open aired tropical outdoor ensuite and outdoor shower. They are located across the channel on the neighbouring Nanuya Balavu Island and accessible by resort boat (driven by your personal boatman) between 7:00am and 11:00pm. Breakfasts can be taken in your villa, or across at the main resort, with lunches and dinners taken at the resort (private dining options at your villa are available at additional cost). These villas work really well for groups & larger extended families, or for families who prefer peace & quiet and do not want regular access to all the resort facilities & activities.
Maximum Occupancy: 4 guests (5 guests if children are included)
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed in the master bedroom, and 1 King Bed in the second bedroom (which may split into 2 Single Beds).
