Lomani Island Resort & Spa Refurbishment Advice
To maintain quality standards, Lomani Island Resort & Spa will be working on replacing the stairs for the Deluxe Suites and refurbishing the bathrooms in the Beachfront Bures. All work will be carried out between 9am to 5pm daily with minimal impact to guests.
The scheduled timeframe is as follows: • Deluxe Suite stairs replacement from 30 November-13 December 2024. During this time the Deluxe Suites will remain unoccupied. These are located near the entrance to the resort, away from all other room types and facilities, hence we expect minimal impact. • Beachfront Bure refurbishment of bathrooms from 13 October-8 December 2024. The bures will be refurbished one at a time with noise contained within the room, hence guests are unlikely to experience any disturbance.

OUR thoughts on Lomani Island Resort & Spa, Malolo Lailai Island, Mamanuca Islands, Fiji
Located around the point from Plantation Island Resort on a private, sheltered bay, Lomani feels a world apart from the busy family atmosphere of Plantation Island Resort which is only a 5-minute stroll away. Lomani is an adults-only resort where the minimum age of guests is 16 years. The 30 Suites and Bures are all in close proximity to the beach. The recently enlarged restaurant, does accept guests from the other resorts on the island (but only adults) and is well respected for serving excellent food, but, what really sets Lomani apart is the fact that with only 30 rooms, the wonderful Fijian staff quickly become friends with the guests and many a tear is shed on both sides when guests leave at the end of their holiday.
The perfect white sand beach outside Lomani is tidal which makes it wonderful for romantic sunset walks and private evening meals enjoyed with tables set up right in the shallow water. When the tide is out and the beach is not so good for swimming, Lomani provides daily complimentary boat trips around the island to any one of several beautiful swimming and snorkelling spots.
All guests have complimentary use of kayaks, glass-bottomed kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, windsurfers, bicycles, snorkelling equipment, gym, chill-out lounge with big screen TV, pool table and showers, and the lovely 35 metre freshwater swimming pool and beautiful poolside cabanas.
You may well wonder what you would do with bicycles on an island, but Malolo Lailai is quite a size and as well as Lomani there are two other resorts on the island – Plantation Island Resort and Musket Cove Resort, so the bicycles thoughtfully provided for Lomani guests are a great way to get around the island and visit the other resorts and beaches if you wish.
Your Accommodation Options:
Naturally, for a resort of this standard, all accommodation is air-conditioned and all units have ceiling fans too. While some units are a little further back from the beach than others, all have sea views
The 10 Beachfront Bures and the 10 Beachfront Pool Bures are scattered along the beach frontage amongst the coconut palms. Some are virtually right on the beach and others just a few metres back. The 8 Deluxe Suites are located in a two-level block with 4 Suites to a floor. This block is very handy to the beach and the ground floor suites open directly on to a beachfront lawn. The first floor suites have special views out over the sea to the Fiji mainland and the other nearby islands. The 2 Hibiscus Suites are housed in a separate ground-floor duplex block.
Room Categories (In ascending order of tariff)
Deluxe Suites:
8 Spacious, modern suites, each 70m2 in size (including balcony or patio) and consists of a large lounge area with comfortable couches and glass French doors which open on to a private patio, plus a separate bedroom area with a four-poster King-Sized bed. The modern bathroom separates the bedroom from the lounge. Guests have the option of ground floor suites featuring direct beach access or first floor suites with a bird’s eye view of the ocean and the other Mamanuca Islands.
Maximum Occupancy: 3 Adults
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed
Additional Bedding: 1 Rollaway Bed may be added for a 3rd adult
Beachfront Bures:
The 10 modern, luxurious bures are approximately 65m2 in size (including deck) and feature custom made mahogany wood furnishings, a vaulted ceiling which expands the feeling of space and a large sundeck that faces towards Malololailai Bay. Bures are open-plan combining both sleeping and lounge areas. The double glass sliding doors that lead out onto the private decks perfectly frame the views of the beach and ocean. As in the Hibiscus Suites, each Beachfront Bure has a lovely, private courtyard-style outdoor shower attached to the bathroom as well as an indoor shower.
Maximum Occupancy: 2 Adults
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed
Additional Bedding: No additional bedding accommodated
Beachfront Pool Bures:
The 10 new Beachfront Pool Bures are located in a private setting furthest away from the restaurant – on the beachfront, but, like the Beachfront Bures, located in a lovely garden setting with the sea views beautifully filtered through the scattered coconut palms. Internally, similar to the Beachfront Bures, (including an iPod Docking Station and additional outdoor shower) but with the addition of a private plunge pool on the front of each one, as well as outdoor decking, privacy screening and a day bed making this an ideal accommodation option for those wanting extra privacy and affordable luxury.
Maximum Occupancy: 2 Adults
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed
Additional Bedding: No additional bedding accommodated
