OUR Thoughts on First Landing Beach Resort and Villas, Vuda Point, Viseisei, Fiji
Off the northern tip of Nadi Bay, facing west to capture sea breezes and the amazing tropical sunsets over the Mamanuca Islands, First Landing Beach Resort and Villas is a wonderful option for those preferring a beachfront holiday at a smaller resort, handy to Nadi Airport and a break from the large international resorts on Denarau Island off the opposite end of Nadi Bay.
First Landing is a good size – small enough to enjoy personal service but big enough to have a wide range of facilities and services, such as a very nice Day Spa (The Dream On Fiji Spa) with a full range of treatments and massage, a tour desk and boutique, a full conference facility for 100 delegates, wedding packages and a wedding coordinator, a popular restaurant, car hire service, a resort boat for fishing and transfer charters, a private marina, a complimentary Kids Club, an exclusive off-shore island and all this on a beautiful west-facing white-sand beach fronting the magical tropical sunsets over the Mamanuca Islands.
But that’s not all, the Vuda Marina is right next door with its buzzing atmosphere as island commuter boats come and go and international yachts arrive and depart and clear Customs at the port. Vuda Marina is easy walking distance from First Landing and the little general store and the Boatshed Restaurant (which is frequented by interesting locals and visiting yachties as well as tourists) gives another dining option.
Staying at First Landing, you’re handily placed to Nadi Airport and getting to the resort from the airport takes only 20-minutes-or-so. The resort is also handy to The Garden of The Sleeping Giant and it’s an easy trip by resort boat out to Treasure Island to join all the South Sea Cruises services to the Mamanuca and Yasawa Islands.
The resort itself has a terrific range of accommodation options and caters for almost every possible need for couples, singles, honeymooners, families big and small and conference delegates. Especially impressive are the new Villas each with a private courtyard and swimming pool as well as cooking facilities for those wishing to self-cater.
So, relax in a spacious Bure, Apartment or Villa, enjoy the laid-back atmosphere and the friendly Fijian staff, but most of all, the hush of the early tropical evenings and those superb sunsets.
Your Accommodation Options
First Landing Beach Resort offers a wide range of accommodation options from Studio Bures and 1 Bedroom Bures, to Tropical Apartments which are either Studio-style or have two or three bedrooms and the all-new one, two and three Bedroom Villas with private swimming pools. Some accommodation types offer kitchens. A full description of all accommodation options follows:
Accommodation Categories
BURES:
Garden Bures:
Ocean Spa Bures:
Both types are in duplex buildings (2 units to a building) and are plantation-style in design. All are built of solid timber with polished timber floors, high ceilings, and a private screened veranda. Most bures interconnect through the veranda if required. Ocean Spa Bures have a spa bath in the bathroom. Garden Bures have a shower in the ensuite. No television is offered in these bures.

Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed which can be split into 2 Single Beds plus one Queen-size Sofa Bed which becomes 2 Single Beds if required.
Additional Bedding: No additional bedding accommodated
Deluxe Garden Bures:
Deluxe Garden Bures have a separate lounge and fully equipped kitchenette, plus a separate bedroom. Couples often leave the bi-fold doors between the bedroom and the lounge open to gain a feeling of extra space.
Maximum Occupancy: 4 guests (In separate beds if required)
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed which can be split into 2 Single Beds, plus one Queen-size Sofa Bed in the lounge, which becomes 2 Single Beds if required.
Additional Bedding: No additional bedding accommodated
APARTMENTS:
The 3 Apartments are located in one two-level building beside the resort's second swimming pool and patio which are reserved exclusively for the use of guests staying in the apartments. The Apartment block is very handy to the beach and the resort’s central facility.
Studio Garden Apartment:
This apartment is found on the ground floor and has a large open-plan bedroom/lounge area. The bathroom is spacious and features a bathtub and separate shower. This apartment interconnects both internally and externally with the adjacent One Bedroom Apartment which, when the interconnecting doors are unlocked, makes an ideal arrangement for families with older chlidren or 2 couples travellling together.

Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed which splits into 2 Single Beds and one Double Sofa Bed.
Additional Bedding: No additional bedding accommodated.
One Bedroom Garden Apartment:
Located on the ground floor beside the Studio Apartment, this apartment features a large ensuite bedroom and a separate lounge area with full a kitchen. The large bathroom has a bathtub and separate shower. This apartment sleeps up to 4 in the same bedding configuration as the Studio Apartment but with the added convenience of two separate sleeping areas. There is a washer/dryer in this apartment.

Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed which splits into 2 Single Beds and one Double Sofa Bed.
Additional Bedding: No additional bedding accommodated.
Three Bedroom Ocean View Apartment:
(Three Bedrooms and 3 Bathrooms).
This apartment is on the first floor with three bedrooms and filtered views through the coconut palms of the ocean and the Mamanuca Islands. Two bedrooms have their own ensuite bathroom with shower and bathtub. Occupants of the third and smallest bedroom use the common toilet/shower off the lounge area. There is a full kitchen and a washer and dryer in the apartment. Interior furnishings include a 6-seat dining table, sofa chairs and sofa - there is a 6-seat dining table on the spacious veranda.
Maximum Occupancy: 6 guests (All in Single Beds if required)
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed in the 2 ensuite bedrooms and 2 Single Beds in the smaller third bedroom.
Additional Bedding: No additional bedding accommodated.
VILLAS
Villas, which are the newest accommodation type to be offered at First Landing Beach Resort, differ from the other accommodation types in that they all have self-catering facilities in the form of a full kitchen or kitchenette; an additional feature is an individual, private swimming pool attached to each villa. Garden Villas are located in the lovely resort gardens immediately behind the Beachfront Villas, and only a short walk from the beach. Beachfront Villas are absolute beachfront.
One Bedroom Garden Villas:
Single-level, One Bedroom Garden Villas have a separate bedroom with bathroom and a living area with kitchenette. Each Villa has an exclusive private tropical garden courtyard with a private swimming pool and patio plus an outdoor shower. The kitchen is equipped with a full-size fridge, microwave, cook top, all cooking and serving utensils plus a washer/dryer. All rooms are air conditioned and have ceiling fans.
Maximum Occupancy: 4 guests
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed in the bedroom which may be converted to 2 Single Beds and a Murphy Bed (pull down from the wall Double Bed) in the lounge area.
Additional Bedding: No additional bedding accommodated.
Two Bedroom Garden Villas:
Ground floor villas with 2 bedrooms, each bedroom having a private bathroom and indoor and outdoor showers. The master bedroom has a spa bath. Each Villa has its own private tropical garden courtyard with a swimming pool and spa, BBQ patio and large covered veranda for exclusive use of Villa guests. The living and dining rooms have high ceilings lined with the tropical timbers of Fiji and furnished with a lounge suite, dining table and flat-screen TV, DVD, USB Port and Cable TV channels. All rooms are air conditioned and have ceiling fans.
Maximum Occupancy: 6 guests
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed in each bedroom, either or both of which can be converted to 2 Single Beds.
Additional Bedding: Up to 2 Single Rollaway Beds can be added in the lounge.
Two Bedroom Beach Villas:
These absolute beachfront Villas have 2 ensuite bedrooms, the master bedroom with an indoor and outdoor shower and the second ensuite contains a washer/dryer in a cabinet. The Villa has a private yard opening to the beach and an outdoor horizon swimming pool and deck for exclusive use of Villa guests. The covered veranda leading out to the private pool featues an outdoor dining setting, day bed and sun loungers. Hammocks are strung between coconut trees along the beach

Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed in each bedroom either or both of which convert to up to 4 Single Beds.
Additional Bedding: A Double-bed-size fold-out Murphy Bed pulls down from a wall cabinet.
The Two Bedroom Royal Beach Villa:
The Royal Beach Villa has 2 bedrooms with the master bedroom on the first floor and the second bedroom on the ground floor. The Villa has a large private tropical garden yard opening to the beach, outdoor swimming pool with spa, and BBQ deck for exclusive use of Villa guests. The Master Bedroom has an ensuite with double spa and ocean views. The second bedroom is also equipped with an ensuite bathroom with an outdoor shower. The Royal Beach Villa has a kitchen, dining veranda, living room and laundry. All rooms are air conditioned and have ceiling fans.
Maximum Occupancy: 6 guests (All in Single Beds if required)
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed in each bedroom each of which can convert to 2 Single Beds.
Additional Bedding: Up to 2 Rollaway Single Beds may be added in the lounge.
The Nalamu Grand Beach Villa:`
Four bedrooms – 2 on the ground floor and 2 on the first floor.
The villa is set in lush tropical gardens on a quarter acre beachfront lot near the resort.
There are 2 bedrooms on the ground floor each with ensuite (one ensuite has a bathtub and separate shower, and the other ensuite has a shower). The master bedroom (with private balcony), is on the first floor, complete with an ensuite with a shower and a private lounge. The second bedroom on the first floor is large and shares bathroom/shower facilities with the first-floor lounge. The villa has 2 large lounges (one on the ground floor and one on the first floor). The first-floor lounge has access to a private balcony and there is a kitchenette with microwave, toaster, kettle and bar fridge. The downstairs lounge (with large dining table off the lounge) opens on to the massive deck and pool area. For the exclusive use of villa guests, the villa has a 25m swimming pool with a child-friendly end and a large entertaining deck overlooking the beach and nearby Mamanuca Islands. There is car parking for 2 cars. Dedicated Villa VIP check in service. BBQ’s are available on request. BBQ Packs menu available for cook-your-own or chef service.
Maximum Occupancy: 12 guests (A total of 8 Single Beds if required)
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed in two of the bedrooms, 2 King Beds in the second bedroom upstairs and 1 Queen Bed in the fourth bedroom. All King Beds Beds may convert to 2 Single Beds
Additional Bedding: The Double Sofa Bed in the master bedroom sleeps up to 2.
Getting to and from First Landing Beach Resort and Villas
First Landing is ultra-accessible from almost everywhere in Fiji. The resort is located on the coast, just north of Vuda Marina and the northern extremity of the vast Nadi Bay and only 15km north of Nadi Airport off Queens Road. Queens Road has recently been upgraded and sealed, so the journey from the airport is a pleasant one. Once you turn off Queens Road there is a drive out to First Landing of approximately 4km. Seat-in-vehicle transfers will normally be provided in package arrangements, but alternatives are available:
Helicopter
First Landing has a Heliport, so helicopter transfers to and from Island Resorts are easily accommodated.
Boat Transfers
Regular Resort Boat transfers are available between the Vuda Point Marina and Treasure Island (a 15-minute crossing) which connect to all South Seas Cruises transfer boats to other Mamanuca and Yasawa Islands, so it is often preferable to overnight at First Landing (if it is necessary to make an overnight stop) rather than to stay at Denarau or Nadi.
Families & Kids
Children are welcome year-round at First Landing and specialist kids facilities are offered.
2 Children aged 16 years and under stay free (up to 4 children stay free in 4-Bedroom Nalamu Grand Vila) when sharing a bure, villa or apartment with 2 adults and utilising existing bedding.
The resort’s complimentary Nalamu Nippers Kids Club is available for children aged 3 to 14 years.
Babysitting is available at a reasonable charge.

Early Check-in
Accommodation may be occupied earlier than official check-in time if the room is available. To guarantee accommodation is available for an early check-in guests are advised to book accommodation for the night prior to their early arrival.
Late Check-out
Late check-out may be prearranged at a charge of 40% of the nightly tariff of the accommodation occupied.
