OUR Thoughts on Ocean Escape Resort & Spa
Ocean Escape Resort & Spa is located at Turangi Village on the east side of Rarotonga. A 20 minute drive south from the airport and a 5 minute drive north from Muri Beach. This adults only boutique accommodation is located on the ocean front on a secluded sandy beach. The lagoon at the resort beach is not suitable for swimming due to coral rocks scattered throughout, it is accessible with reef shoes only. The resort prides itself with the highest Eco-friendly score on the island. The resort is off the main water grid, using it’s own 100k litres underground water tank, collecting all rain water, and using high grade filtration and UV treatment to ensure safe washing and drinking water in all Villas. The resort features a large (20 metres / 250k Litres) swimming pool in its centre. It is the only lagoon pool on the island containing 100% ocean water pumped in regularly from the lagoon and contains no chlorine or harmful chemicals.The Lagoon pool was built bearing in mind that the beautiful coastline is not safe for swimming as it has too many coral rocks, forming a nursery to numerous sea life. Great for beach walks and soaking in the sun and moon rises over the eastern horizon. The reef edge being so close allows you to watch the whales migrating north between June and November from our beach, a truly memorable experience..! The ‘Essential Spa’ is located within the resort and operates 7 days. It provides Balinese inspired massages, as well as facials, manicures, and pedicures. The BJ’s Tapas Bar & Restaurant is located within the resort, and is due to open mid 2023. The resort does not have wheelchair access or disabled facilities.

Minimum stay requirements
Ocean Escape Resort & Spa requires a minimum 3 night stay per booking.

Your Accommodation Options
Total of 12 individual Villas on site, comprising of 2 x Ocean-Front Villas, and 10 x Ocean-View Villas. All Villas are fully self-contained and include full size fridge in the galley kitchen with dishwasher, cooking facilities and all associated cookware and kitchenware. Villas have full reverse cycle air conditioning, and ceiling fans in the living area and the bedroom. Insect / security screening on all doors / windows. Villas are configured as apartments rather than a standard hotel room, suitable for long stays.All Villas are double story, where the ground floor contains the living and dining areas, kitchen and bathroom. The second floor contains the bedroom. All Villas provide an outdoor private veranda with day bed and coffee table. All Villas feature 50” flat screen TV, blue-tooth speaker, USB charging ports, and international power points. Wi-Fi internet is available in all rooms and throughout the resort. Bathroom provides all eco-friendly amenities, heated towel racks, hair dryer etc. Outdoor covered clothesline in all Villas.
Safe is available in all Villas. Note: As per Villa’s description, please be made aware that the bedroom is located on the second floor of the Villa (staircase access).

Ocean View Villas:
Maximum Occupancy: 3 Adults
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed (can not be split into 2 seperate beds).
Additional Bedding: Single sofa bed.

Ocean Front Villas:
Maximum Occupancy: 4 Adults
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed (can not be split into 2 seperate beds).
Additional Bedding: Queen size pull-out sofa bed.


Getting to and from Ocean Escape Resort & Spa
Return airport transfers will be included in holiday arrangements as required/agreed and included in your package price.  Transfers may be arranged on a seat-in-vehicle basis or in a private vehicle. Our Travel Specialists are happy to advise on the relative costs and convenience of all types of transfers. 

Kids Policy
Children aged under 16 years are not accepted as guests at Ocean Escape Resort & Spa.

Official check-in and checkout times are:
Check-in: 2:00pm
Check-out: 10:00am
Late check-in is free of charge, late check-out is subject to availability at a cost payable directly to the resort upon check-out.
