OUR Thoughts on Te Vakaroa Villas, Muri Beach, Rarotonga
Absolute beachfront set right on Muri Beach, Te Vakaroa Villas is a remarkable gated haven, offering unsurpassed views of Muri Lagoon and beyond the reef to the South Pacific Ocean. Winner, World Luxury Hotels ‘Best Design Hotel, the contemporary architecture and interior design of the six fully airconditioned villas are sympathetic to the natural surroundings, complete with floor-to ceiling sliders that open onto a large private patio overlooking the infinity, heated all season’s swimming pool and Jacuzzi – the ideal places to unwind and enjoy a tropical cocktail.
Tropical breakfasts are delivered daily to your Villa and the adjoining Sails Restaurant offers room service and a-la-carte dining, or a short stroll along the beach gives access to some of the island’s renowned restaurants. Guests can enjoy a fully hosted holiday or choose to be full self-catering each villa has a beautiful fully appointed kitchen.
Muri Lagoon is a water playground for snorkelling, kayaking, kite surfing and swimming. Kayaks and snorkelling equipment are complimentary for those who want to pull themselves away from their luxurious villa to explore the attractions of the lagoon.

Your Accommodation Options
On the ground floor Te Vakaroa has three 1 Bedroom Villas. The three 2 Bedroom Villas take up the entire first and second floors. We like the little extras that Te Vakaroa includes in the villas, such things as the reasonably priced minibars, the full-size kitchens with a dishwasher, the iPod docking stations and the thoughtful inclusion of bathrobes and beach towels for all guests. All accommodation is air-conditioned and includes fans and insect screens.
Room Categories
1 Bedroom Villas:
Located on the ground floor just steps away from the horizon pool and the lagoon. The 1 Bedroom Villas are sizeable and modern. The living area of each villa fronts the pool and the bedroom is in the back of the villa which makes the bedroom nice and quiet. You will enjoy the little totally private walled garden off the bedroom. There is a fully-equipped kitchen with a full-size fridge/freezer. The Villa also has a clothes washer and dryer. Each of the 3 villas has a beautiful big veranda patio complete with outdoor furniture and each one steps back from the neighbouring villa, an arrangement which provides privacy for all guests.

Additional Bedding: No additional bedding accommodated.
2 Bedroom Villas:
The living area of each of the 2 Bedroom Vilas takes up the entire first floor. The living area comprises the full-size, modern, fully equipped kitchen, the dining suite and the lounge as well as a 3rd bathroom. There is a clothes washer and dryer in the villa. The spacious balcony which overlooks the pool, the beach, the lagoon and the ocean, features a lovely day bed as well as an outdoor settee which is big enough to stretch out on, as well as 2 lounge chairs and a coffee table. Like the 1 Bedroom villas below, each balcony is stepped back to ensure privacy. The 2 bedrooms (both with ensuite bathroom) are located on the second floor and each has an intimate balcony. The main bedroom faces the lagoon and the second bedroom faces Rarotonga’s central mountains.
Maximum Occupancy: 5 Adults
Existing Bedding: A Super King Bed in both bedrooms one of which may be converted to 2 Single Beds.
Additional Bedding: A Single Rollaway Bed may be added to the lounge area for a 5th occupant.
Getting to and from Te Vakaroa Villas
Te Vakaroa Villa’s guests arriving from international flights are provided with a Meet & Greet service which includes a fresh flower lei and transferred direct to their accommodation where a bottle of wine and a fruit platter will be provided in each villa with compliments of Te Vakaroa Villas. A private car transfer back to the airport at the end of the stay is also included. The cost of the transfer will be included in our package pricing.
Kids Policy
Children aged 12 years and over are accepted as guests at Te Vakaroa Villas.

The standard check-in and check-out times:
Check-in Time 2:00pm
Check-out Time: 10:00am
Early Check-in and Late Check-out
Early Check-in from 6:00am if available costs approximately 25% of the nightly tariff.
Due to the exclusive nature of Te Vakaroa Vilas, there are no facilities for arriving guests who have not arranged and paid for an early check-in to wait at the resort for their rooms to become available.
Late Check-out up to 6.00pm if available costs approximately 25% of the nightly tariff
Early Arriving Flight We recommend that all guests arriving prior to 6:00am should book and pay for their room from the night before to guarantee access to their room at the time they arrive. Not doing this could result in a wait of around 12 hours to gain entry to your accommodation.
