OUR Thoughts on Warwick Le Lagon - Vanuatu
In the years since Warwick Group acquired the property, there has been constant improving and upgrading going on, although we’re pleased to note that the original charm of the place has been maintained amongst all the improvements. The Lobby Bar, which has always been a favourite of ours for snacks, drinks and entertainment, has been upgraded, new accommodation and dining options have been added, The Conference Centre has been enhanced and many, many family-friendly services as well as additional family resort facilities have been provided. In 2019 the Swimming Pool Complex was impressively improved and expanded.

Over recent times, the resort has introduced a new up-market category of accommodation units which they have called their “Luxury Range” which are reserved for adults only.  The Luxury Range has further enhanced the overall reputation and quality of the resort experience.

What we see now is a very good resort which, while being great for families, also caters exceptionally well for couples, honeymooners and conferences and hosts terrific South Pacific weddings as well as Vow-Renewal ceremonies.  The beach area has always been a great location for weddings and now there is the added attraction of the new Wedding Deck.

Warwick Le Lagon - Vanuatu fronts the beautiful Erakor Lagoon near the mouth of the lagoon and the lagoon-facing accommodation blocks have special views over the lagoon to Erakor Island and the twinkling lights of the Erakor Island Resort at night. Warwick Le Lagon is only 5 minutes by taxi from Port Vila Town and there is always a constant coming and going of the local van-style buses which are a great way to get around in Vanuatu.

Your Accommodation Options
Warwick Le Lagon has a wide range of accommodation options and there is something to suit all needs. Every individual accommodation unit is single level and the majority are ground floor, although there are some Garden View and Lagoon View hotel blocks which offer both ground floor and first floor (walk-up) options. All accommodation is air-conditioned.  All accommodation was refurbished in 2015.

The centre of the resort is marked by the undercover arrival Porte Cochere which provides direct access to the lobby and Reception. When you first arrive, you will be welcomed by a local string band and a cool drink. From this entrance, most of the accommodation units off to your right are Lagoon View Rooms. Walking directly through the lobby you pass the Lobby Bar, Oasis Shop and the Spa. Directly ahead are the 5 different pools and the Pool Grill and the impressive small lagoon island out front is the location of the 4 Overwater Villas.

Looking to your left from the arrival point, there are several rows of 1 and 2 storey accommodation units and these are all Garden View Rooms. In front of the Garden View Rooms facing towards the lagoon there is a cluster of stand-alone Garden Bungalows and in front of these and right on the lagoon front are the various brand-new Villas and the Lagoon Bungalows. Furthest away from Reception and on the lagoon frontage next to the Lagoon Bungalows there are two more, 2 storey blocks each containing 14 Lagoon View Rooms.

 The Luxury Collection
The Luxury Collection is primarily targeted at adults/couples, although, on request the Pacific Pool Villa and the Shefa Pool Villa may be occupied by a family comprising adults and children aged aover 15 years and utilising existing bedding.

Room Categories (In ascending order of tariff)
 Garden View Rooms:
Some Garden View Rooms are in a row of single-level buildings in blocks of 2 rooms and others are in two-level blocks of 4 rooms. These rooms face the tropical gardens or the golf course towards the north-east and all have a furnished patio or balcony. At 34m² to 44m² they are a good size. There are limited interconnecting rooms.
Maximum Occupancy: 3 Adults or 2 Adults & 2 Children aged up to 12 years
Existing Bedding: Either 1 King Bed or 1 Queen Bed or 2 Double Beds or 1 Queen Bed with 1 or 2 Single Beds.
Additional Bedding:  A Single Rollaway Bed or a cot may be added to rooms configured with 1 Queen Bed and 1 Single Bed.

 Lagoon View Rooms:
All Lagoon View Rooms have lovely views out over the lagoon. They are located either in the 2, two storey blocks near the northern boundary of the resort or in a mixture of single and 2 storey blocks to the right of the resort as you arrive. The latter are the closest accommodation to the Wild Ginger and Lagoon Terrace Restaurants. Some are almost beside the Erakor Island Resort Ferry Jetty and very handy to the tennis courts, the activity centre and the golf course 1st tee. Lagoon View Rooms are 34m² to 44m² and each one has a nice big furnished patio or balcony. Interconnecting rooms facility is available.
Maximum Occupancy: 3 Adults or 2 Adults & 2 Children aged up to 12 years
Existing Bedding: Either 1 Queen Bed or 2 Queen Beds or 1 Queen Bed and 2 Single Beds
Additional Bedding:  A cot may be added to a room containing 1 Queen Bed.

 Lagoon Superior Rooms:
At 34m² to 44m² the 5 Lagoon Superior Rooms are are a good size and a great option for couples or a couple with a baby. Each offers a picturesque view of Erakor Lagoon, premium interior furnishing and a private balcony. There are limited interconnecting rooms. 
Maximum Occupancy: 2 Adults and a baby in a cot
Existing Bedding: Either 1 King Bed or 2 Single Beds.
Additional Bedding:  A Cot may be added to rooms configured with 1 King Bed.

 Garden Bungalows:
Garden bungalows have views of the lawns and gardens and are very handy to the lagoon. At 44m² each stand-alone bungalow features a high thatched roof and cathedral ceiling. There is a separate shower and bathtub in the ensuite bathroom, a mini bar and a furnished patio. Because they are individual bungalows there is no interconnecting facility.
Maximum Occupancy: 3 Adults or 2 Adults & 2 Children aged up to 12 years (children share a double bed)
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed or 2 Standard Double Beds
Additional Bedding:  A Rollaway Bed or a cot may be added to a room containing 1 King Bed.

 Lagoon Bungalows:
44m² to 69m²  with a similar style to the Garden Bungalows but the waves of the lagoon almost lap on the patio of some, while others have a private patch of lawn out front of their patios and are just steps away from the lagoon. Enjoy the sunrise and go to sleep lulled by the rippling waves, the starry nights and the lights of Erakor Island over the moonlit lagoon – sigh! You will be paying around $150 per night more than the cost of a Garden Bungalow and it’s worth every extra cent to enjoy this location. There are only 7 Lagoon Bungalows at Warwick Le Lagon.

 Overwater Villas:
Quoting The Resort:
“Our Over-water Island Villas have magnificent views of the pristine Erakor Lagoon & the Pacific Ocean. Each suite has a spacious bathroom with separate shower and spa bath, spacious living area that opens out onto a large furnished balcony with your own private deck chairs. Each room has 2 televisions, DVD player and CD player.”
Reopened at the end of March 2018 after extensive refurbishment.  Always highly in demand, the 4 Overwater Villas are located in the “dress circle” of Warwick Le Lagon Resort on a tiny island accessed by a 20 metre-or-so bridge from the lagoon foreshore. The 4 stand-alone Villas are so placed that that their lovely big decks are private from each other. The entrance to each Villa is directly off the island but the majority of the suite is built out over the Erakor Lagoon. Each Each Overwater Villa is 70m² in size including decks and features a living area which is separated from the sleeping area by a low dividing wall which, while defining the lounge area, is low enough to give occupants a water view from the bed over the lounge area.

 The Shefa Pool Villa:
The Shefa Pool Villa is 109m²  On the edge of Erakor Lagoon and cocooned by high walls for privacy, guests enjoy extensive views from the location on the absolute edge of the lagoon via the wide-opening French Doors on the front of the villa. The Shefa Pool Villa has a private entrance, separate bath and shower, private furnished deck, a private heated plunge pool, an iPod Docking Station and additional room amenities.
Maximum Occupancy: 2 Adults only
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed.
Additional Bedding: No additional bedding accommodated.

 The Efate Pool Villa:
An expansive new villa comprising a total of 199m². The Efate Pool Villa features fresh, white furnishings and is surrounded by high walls for privacy while offering stunning Erakor Lagoon views enjoyed from the large private, furnished deck with a personal pergola and a large private pool. Stairs lead through a circular alcove into the bathroom which features an oversized pod bathtub, outdoor courtyard shower, iPod Docking Station and additional room amenities.

Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed.
Additional Bedding: No additional bedding accommodated.

 The Pacific Pool Villa:
The Pacific Pool Villa features a private entrance, separate lounge and bedroom and a large bathroom with separate bath and rain-head shower. Fully fenced on three sides for ultimate privacy, it is positioned on the edge of Erakor Lagoon for uninterrupted scenic views. Guests enjoy a large furnished deck, generous private pool, day-bed and small private beach terrace, iPod Docking Station and additional room amenities. 188m²
Maximum Occupancy: 2 Adults only
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed.
Additional Bedding: No additional bedding accommodated.

 The 2 Bedroom Erakor Residence:
Erakor Residence is located on the beachfront of Erakor Lagoon.  The 2 ensuite bedrooms each open off a spacious furnished living area, which flows out onto a large furnished balcony. The Erakor Residence is 180m2 with 2 large en-suite bathrooms, air- conditioning, TV, private plunge pool and uninterrupted lagoon views over a private lawn terrace, an iPod Docking Station and additional room amenities.
Maximum Occupancy: 4 Adults or 2 Adults and 2 Children aged over 15 years
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed in one bedroom and 2 Double Beds in the second bedroom.
Additional Bedding: No additional bedding accommodated.

 The Pool Villa Combination:
The Pacific Pool Villa and Shefa Pool Villa can be combined by rolling back the large timber gate on the deck, for maximum of two couples to enjoy the shared pool and heated spa. This combined Villa may also be occupied (on application) by a couple plus 2 children aged 15 years or over at a combined price which is heavily discounted on the individual villa prices.

Getting To and from Warwick Le Lagon - Vanuatu
Our Specialists will include arrival and departure airport transfers as required/agreed in inclusive package arrangements.

Taxis are readily available at the resort and there is always a constant stream of Vanuatu’s unique mini-bus local transport vehicles coming and going to and from the road frontage of the resort. The distance from town is approximately 3 kilometres and although it is walkable we wouldn’t recommend the walk as the road can be very busy and the public footpaths can be rough or non-existent in places. Our Specialists can organise a rental car for you - Warwick Le Lagon has a handy and secure car park for rental cars.

Families & Kids
Warwick Le Lagon Resort has very generous accommodation and meal deals for families. Families staying in Garden View and Lagoon View rooms have the option of booking an interconnecting room at up to a 30% discount off the first room rate. (Maximum 3 kids in the second room). Cots are provided free of charge but are subject to availability. Baby strollers are available at a small hire charge. Highchairs are available.

 Kids’ Club:
A very good, complimentary, serviced Kids Club for children 3 to 12 years is available between 8:00am and 4:30pm and 5:30pm to 9:00pm. Kids Club activities cover a whole range of indoor and outdoor activities including cultural fun, Ps3 and cooking lessons. Children aged under 3 years are welcome to visit the Kids’ Club if supervised by a parent or nanny.

Children's lunch time meals are available between Noon and 2:00pm and evening meals are available from 5:30pm to 6:30 pm at Coconut Terrace.

During the evening session (5:30pm to 9:00pm) children aged under 5 years will only be accepted if accompanied by a nanny.

Accommodation - Day use
Day Use/Late Check-out is confirmed on an availability-basis and is charged at 2,900 Vatu per hour from 12.00pm, with use up until 5:00pm on the day of departure. After 5:00pm the charge is subject to one night’s room rate. This is payable direct to the Resort.
