OUR Thoughts on Chantilly’s on the Bay
Chantilly’s on the Bay is a special little Hotel in a superb location with amazing views from every room, charming people and a very good restaurant. Chantilly’s is a superb choice for people interested in a slightly different holiday experience away from the major resorts but with a pleasant “Real Vanuatu” ambience.  Located on the Port Vila waterfront 5 minutes walk from town, with a choice of either walking the leafy walk alongside the road or on the new waterfront boardwalk which is a major improvement to the Port Vila scene. At Chantilly's you can experience a magical, warm tropical waterfront location with the pleasant downtown Port Vila vibe right at your doorstep. 

Every unit, whether you choose a spacious Studio or an even more spacious One Bedroom Apartment has a 180° view down Port Vila Harbour with the harbour entrance directly ahead, Iririki Island Resort out to the left and the suburban Malapoa Peninsular to the right.  From your room at Chantilly’s watch the cruise ships come and go as well as the general daily activity on the harbour.  Waking up each day to the tropical mornings and this amazing view is a delight, equalled only by the evening display of the spectacular tropical sunsets.

Chantilly’s is virtually right on the waterfront.  The hotel pool is built almost over the bay and there is a jetty out front which people with boats sometimes use when they come in to dine at the hotel’s “Tilly’s Restaurant.”  The Hotel facilities make for a perfectly relaxing holiday – a beautiful waterfront restaurant and bar, a very pleasant pool, a Spa, Hairdresser and Beauty Salon as well as a very chic resort-wear boutique shop.  A complimentary Wifi hotspot is available in the restaurant-reception area and throughout the rooms. The hotel also offers a tour desk for advice and booking assistance for the full range of Vanuatu tours and activities. The new Banyan Beach Bar is now open at Chantilly’s and is proving very popular with guests and Port Vila locals alike.  A white sand beach has been created complete with four-poster day beds, comfortable outdoor furniture and seats and tables which can be moved into the water – an ideal spot for an afternoon or evening cocktail.  At night, the banyan tree is lit up and the mood is mellow.

Staying at Chantilly’s is a very interesting option to a full-resort holiday in Vanuatu.  Staying here you really are part of the interesting Port Vila town life vibe.  Walk into town to supermarkets (the kitchenettes in all the rooms at Chantilly’s give you the opportunity to really enjoy shopping at Port Vila’s supermarkets and the produce market), sample the café culture, pick up a bottle or two of wine and some snacks then return to the serenity of your hotel room or apartment and that special view.

Your Accommodation Options
Chantilly’s offer 20 accommodation units comprising 12 Studio Rooms and 8 One Bedroom Apartments.  The Studio Rooms are all located on the top floor of the 3-level building and the One Bedroom Apartments are located on the middle floor.  All rooms have air-conditioning, a kitchenette with a Microwave Oven, a 2-burner hob, a fridge and come with light cooking utensils, cutlery and crockery.  There is an iron and ironing board and a desk. All rooms and apartments offer wifi connectivity. The tiled bathrooms are modern and fairly compact, but still equipped with a shower, vanity and hairdryer. Both accommodation floors are walk-up (no lift) and every unit has that splendid view from the room or apartment balcony for which Chantilly’s is famous.

Room Categories
Oceanview Studio Rooms:
Located on the top floor of the building, the 12 Oceanview Studio Rooms are spacious open-plan rooms with well-equipped kitchenette and a nice balcony facing the incredible view. The room is air-conditioned. Oceanview Studio Rooms are 33m² with a 7m² balcony.
Maximum Occupancy: 2 Adults and 1 Child/Infant either in a cot (complimentary) or utilising the fold-out Sofa Bed.
Existing Bedding: 1 Queen Bed and a fold-out Sofa Bed.
Additional Bedding: A cot for a baby aged under 2 years can be added.

 One Bedroom Oceanview Apartments:
Located on the middle floor, the 8 One Bedroom Oceanview Apartments have a separate air-conditioned bedroom and fan-cooled living room with well-equipped kitchen. The Apartments at each end of the building have larger, private balcony decks and take in an even wider view.  However, these balconies are exposed to a little more road noise than those on the centrally located apartments. One Bedroom Oceanview Apartments are 63m² with a 7m² balcony.
Maximum Occupancy: 3 Adults or 2 Adults and 2 Children aged 2 to 11 years.
Existing Bedding: 1 Queen Bed and 1 double fold-out Sofa Bed in the living room.
Additional Bedding: 1 Single Rollaway Bed may be added if required. A baby aged under 2 years in a (complimentary) cot may be substituted for one child. 

Getting To and From Chantilly’s on the Bay
We will include seat-in-vehicle or private car return airport transfers in holiday package arrangements as required/agreed.

Chantilly’s is approximately 5 minute walk along the Lini Highway to and from Port Vila town.  The Port Vila mini-bus public transport system is cheap and frequent passing Chantilly’s so this is a good alternative to walking especially during the heat of the day.  Just flag down any passing public transport mini-bus – these are the vehicles with a “B” on the number plate and often this is the only sign that the vehicle is a public bus.

Kids under 2 years in a cot stay free (maximum of one cot can be added to the room in addition to maximum occupancy listed below. Children under 12 years stay Free of Charge.

Check in time is 3:00pm
Check out time is 11:00am
Early Arrivals
Guests arriving before 3:00pm may have immediate occupation of their accommodation by paying 50% of the cost of staying 1 night in the accommodation type booked. A luggage room is available to store luggage if arriving guests choose to wait until official check-in time.
Late Departures
Guests may arrange a late check-out to 4:00pm on payment of 50% of the cost of staying 1 night in the accommodation type booked.
The luggage room is also avalable for for departing guests to store their luggage for those guests not holding their rooms for a late check-out.
