OUR Thoughts on Nautilus Resort, Muri Beach, Rarotonga

All dining options offer views over the resorts’ infinity pool, white sand beaches or sapphire lagoon waters. Choose from the awarding winning beachfront Nautilus Restaurant, that boasts a refined Polynesian inspired dining experience in the main dining Ares’ or a casual beachside patio dining experience, event gazebo, private celebratory dining and meeting quarters, guest Ares’ services or beach options. Your Accommodation Options
Nautilus Resort Rarotonga initially includes 17 units – (Villas known by their Cook Island name – Arés), 15 of which are the Garden and Beachfront Arés. There are 2 Two Bedroom Arés. The Two Bedroom Beachfront Aré shares a block with one of the Beachfront Arés and both units can be configured to interconnect resulting in the wonderful Three Bedroom Beachfront Aré with the facility of 2 plunge pools.
All Arés are extremely spacious, have high pitched ceilings and each one features a private plunge pool out on the front deck. As you would expect for a property of such high quality, all accommodation is fully air-conditioned.
Accessible Accommodation
One Garden Aré has ramp entrance, a larger door opening to the bathroom. A shower chair is available.
Minimum Stay Policy
Nautilus Resort Rarotonga minimum stay policy:
3 nights minimum stay required
for stays in Garden Arés and Beachfront Arés
4 nights minimum stay required
for stays in all 2-Bedroom and 3-Bedroom Arés.

These units are all basically the same size (56m2 plus 50m2 decking), layout and quality; they differ in tariff only by their location in the resort grounds. Each opens right up out front from the spacious open-plan sleeping/living area to the deck via bi-fold doors. The beautiful bathroom, which boasts a separate bath and separate shower also opens to a terrific private enclosed courtyard which is comfortably furnished and which includes an outdoor shower option. The front deck which encompasses the plunge pool is furnished with 2 sun-loungers and a nice big patio umbrella. The kitchenette is located in the entrance hallway which is a great place for it as it keeps it out of the general living area. Kitchenette facilities include: under-counter fridge, microwave, espresso coffee machine, kettle and toaster
Maximum Occupancy: 2 Adults or 2 Adults and 1 Child or 2 Adults and 1 Infant
Existing Bedding: 1 Super (Californian) King Bed which splits to provide 2 Single Beds
Additional Bedding: 1 Single Fold-out Sofa Bed can be utilised for a child. A baby cot may be added in addition to the fold-out Sofa Bed.
Two Bedroom Arés:
The Two Bedroom Beachfront Aré:
Enormous at 130m2 plus 70m2 decking and ideal for 2 couples travelling together or a family holiday with its two Bedrooms each with an ensuite bathroom containing separate bath and separate shower and double vanity. The Living Area comprises a lounge, full kitchen which comprises fridge freezer, convection oven, microwave, 2 burner cooktop, espresso coffee machine, kettle, toaster, blender and 6 place dining setting. Ranch-sliders open off the main bedroom and the living room to the deck which houses the private plunge pool, sun-loungers and an outdoor dining table setting.
Maximum Occupancy: 4 guests plus 1 additional Child and a baby in a cot
Existing Bedding: 1 Super (Californian) King Bed in each guestroom (1 of which can be split into 2 King Single Beds)
Additional Bedding: 1 Single Fold-out Sofa Bed can be utilised for a child in the lounge area. A baby cot may be added in addition to the fold-out Sofa Bed.
Three Bedroom Beachfront Aré:
186m2 plus 120m2 decking. The 3 Bedroom Beachfront Aré comprises a 2 Bedroom Aré and a Beachfront Aré with the internal interconnecting door unlocked. This results in 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a full kitchen plus a kitchenette (see above room descriptions), expansive decking and 2 plunge pools.
Maximum Occupancy: 6 Adults plus 2 additional Children and a baby in a cot
Existing Bedding: 1 Super (Californian) King Bed in each guestroom (1 of which can be split into 2 King Single Beds)
Additional Bedding: 2 Single Fold-out Sofa Beds can be utilised for 1 Child each in the lounge areas. A baby cot may be added in addition to the fold-out Sofa Beds.
Getting To and From Nautilus Resort
Nautilus Resort offers 2 airport transfer options for arriving and departing guests. The choice is between a seat-in-vehicle service and a private service. The main advantage of a private service is that that there is no waiting for other guests to clear Customs and Immigration before the service departs. We will arrange your choice of transfer and add the service into your package arrangements. Irrespective of their choice of transfer type, all Nautilus guests receive:

With its location near the southern end of the Muri Lagoon, guests will find it a mere 5-minute walk to the Sailing Club and all the services, restaurants, cafés and the night market of Muri Village. The Round Island Buses stop on demand right at the roadside end of the driveway which means you are only 30 minutes away from Avarua on the direct bus route.
Families and Kids
Nautilus Resort is a “Family Friendly” property with kids welcome all year.
A Young Child Stays Free
One Infant aged 3 years and under stays free when sharing accommodation with two adults and utilising existing bedding.
Conditions:
1. An additional infant aged 3 years and under is charged at the normal additional person rate
2. Port-a-cots are available at a charge.
3. Children 4 years and over are charged the normal additional person rate.
Kids’ Concierge
A staff member (The Kids Concierge) tailors activities to the ages and interests of children staying at Nautilus Rarotonga at any one time. This isn't a kids’ club as such as there is no actual club room, but kids love the attention and the outdoor activities organised. Kids’ Concierge service is for children aged 5 years plus and is provided free of charge.
Babysitting is available at a charge.

Official Check in time is 2:00pm
Official Check out time is 10:00am
Early Check-in and Late Check-out
A check-in between 6:00am and 2:00pm may be guaranteed with the payment of 50% of the cost of 1 night’s accommodation for the Aré type booked.
Late check-out to 6:00pm, when available, costs 50% of the cost of 1 night’s accommodation in the Aré occupied.
