OUR Thoughts on Arcadia Retreat, Aretuna Road, Arorangi, Rarotonga
A delightfully different little property with great prices, a special location and great hosts. The location is special – inland on the western “Sunset” side of Rarotonga just a few steps off the circle-island road surrounded by tropical trees, lawns and flowering shrubs and views of the internal mountains but still only 200 metres from a beautiful beach. It is an easy, short walk to Rarotonga’s favourite “Beluga Café” as well as the famous ‘Pacific Fish & Chips” shop and small village provisions shops. A short car, bike or scooter ride will access kayak hire and the many other cafés and bars scattered along the roadside in Arorangi Village.
The three villas face a swimming pool, lily pond and waterfall. The pool surrounds include not only a covered guest BBQ area but also a thatched pool gazebo and plenty of sun-loungers and outdoor tables and chairs.
The 3 villas have been individually designed to capture the island breezes and lazy ceiling fans aid the cross-flow ventilation. Each villa is the size of a not-so-small house and sports 2 bedrooms, a full-size kitchen with a fridge/freezer, one modern bathroom and dining and lounge area. Each has excellent internal/external flow giving indoor/outdoor dining options.
Apart from the beautiful surrounds and the spacious villas, a highlight of a stay here is the ability of every guest to access the friendly, professional owner/management team for local advice and recommendations on anything to do with Rarotonga’s features and activities.
An ideal base for a Rarotonga tropical holiday, Arcadia Retreat is also a great spot for an intimate wedding, birthday party, a small business retreat or seminar.

Minimum Stay Policy
The resort has a minimum 5 nights stay policy.
The Accommodation at Arcadia Retreat
The 3 spacious 2-bedroom villas offer similar facilities but are slightly different in detail.
Villa Ta’i (upstairs, walk-up) and Villa Rua (ground floor) are in a two-level block. Villa Toru is a single level separate building. All are handy to the pool.
Villas Ta’i and Rua are 150m2
Villa Toru is 140m2
Maximum Occupancy: 4 guests in each villa
Existing Bedding: Villa Rua & Villa Toru have 1 Queen Bed and 1 King Bed. Villa T'ai has 2 King Beds.
Single beds can be available on request.
Additional Bedding: No additional bedding accommodated.
Getting to and from Arcadia Retreat
Arrival and departure Airport transfers are included in package arrangements as required and agreed. If 4 travellers are sharing a villa, it is often advantageous to share a private car transfer rather than take the standard bus transfers – and you get away from the airport earlier too!
The Circle Island Buses stop on the main road a short 100 metre walk down Aretuna Road.
Kids Policy
Children aged 16 years and older are accepted at Arcadia Retreat.

Early check-in at 12 midday and late check-out at 12 midday are subject to availability and are charged at a flat fee.
