October 2023 - Return to Paradise Resort, Samoa

We had a fantastic time in Beautiful Samoa! Everything went perfectly, from the flights to transfers. The staff at Return to Paradise were warm and friendly, only to happy to help. They put on both rugby world cup semi-finals in the Cabana, so that was well attended.

Our beach view room was huge with a big covered deck and only 50 metres to the waters edge, the snorkelling there was amazing! So many fish species! We didn’t even use the pool, as preferred an ocean swim and snorkel.
We went on the Apia Town tour, which took in the Bahaii Temple, Robert Louis Stevenson mansion and Museum Villa Vailima (my personal favourite of the tour as my maiden name is Stevenson) The grounds and gardens of both the Bahaii  Temple and Villa Vailima were gorgeous. Also went through Apia town and markets, soap factory, sliding rocks.

The other activity we did was the Giant Clam Sanctuary, 5 min taxi ride from resort. We missed out on the tour, so did it ourselves. Swam with turtles and snorkelled over the Giant Clams (freaky!) . Was a wonderful experience.

Had a dinner and show 2 nights, Fia Fia night and Maeva string band, which were both very enjoyable. We mainly ate at the resort and the food was pretty good, especially the seared Tuna steaks which we had a few times, delicious. Happy hour was the best, especially with that view!
